MILKandLEAD Art Gallery is a charitable organisation that operates throughout London. The objectives of the charity are the advancement of education in, and the promotion of, the arts for the public benefit. The gallery is deeply committed to ensuring art is enjoyed by a broad spectrum of people. The activities of MILKandLEAD Art Gallery rotate around four distinct entities that operates together but in a different way: Exhibitions, Academy, Sound Art Biennale DELIQUIUM and Sign Prize.
The charity is growing rapidly and is looking to take on an advisor with a strong legal background within the charity sector.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual open to acquiring new skills and get involved in the art and cultural sector.
We are flexible in the days and times a person is able to volunteer.
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills; strong computer literacy skills; be reliable and be able to use your initiative. You will also have the ability to problem solve and find creative solutions.
You will be required to work in partnership to support the Chief Executives in order to achieve the aims of the organisation whilst maintaining the charity's credibility.
The role involves:
- Giving advice on art galleries law matters
- Policy reviews and making
- Income generation and funding
- Collaborative partnerships
- A willingness to meet the minimum time requirement

The ideal candidate would be someone who knows how charities operate and has some knowledge of art gallery challenges but much of this can be gained by involvement in the charity. The candidate must also have experience with policy making, agreements and tendering.
