Do you want a voluntary role that will help you meet new people, make new friendships, enhance your CV and develop or use social media skills? Would you like a role that makes a difference to new parents across the East Midlands?
As a Regional Social Media Supporter for NCT, the UK's leading charity for parents, your role will be to support a regional volunteer team, who in turn support volunteers in 19 local branches across the East Midlands.
Our branches support parents in their local area throughout the first 1,000 days of parenthood. They run regular groups and activities where parents can meet, chat, make friends, share their challenges and gain as well as offer support. Our branches also fundraise to support local activities and to help keep our national services running.
You will help to promote the activities of NCT's East Midlands region and its branches across social media to communicate with branch volunteers and the general public, and also help branches use social media more effectively to help support parents in their local area, raising awareness of events and activities, and promoting NCT campaigns.
Ideally, you will have experience in the use of different social media platforms, mainly (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for personal or business use. However, if you're not an expert, we encourage applications from those enthusiastic and positive about the use of social media, with a willingness to learn.
This role is mostly home-based . Some travel to visit branches within the region is possible, as well as attending volunteer training events, for which travel expenses are reimbursed.
If you have 1-2 hours per week to spare and love social media, this could be the role for you. Why not apply online today to find out more?
