Seeking caring and compassionate volunteers who would like to help prevent homelessness by opening their homes to young adults seeking an urgent safe place to sleep.
Nightstop Hertfordshire prevents homelessness through community hosting. Nightstop places young people (16 - 25) in a safe home for the night preventing them from sleeping rough, 'sofa-surfing', or staying in unsuitable shelter where they could be at risk of abuse. The use of a spare room in a positive, safe environment makes a huge difference to young individuals in crisis.
We rely on the kindness of people from the community, such as yourself, to provide these room to those who are, or at risk of experiencing homelessness. In order to provide the safest experience for both our Nightstop Volunteer hosts and our Guests, we employ a rigorous application process including DBS checks, references and training from one our Nightstop Team.
