Job description

This is an opportunity to work on a busy helpline assisting those suffering from all kinds of anxiety disorders. Conditions such as General Anxiety Disorder, Panic disorder, Phobias, and OCD are all potentially recoverable conditions. This means you will be able to provide the necessary information to support and encourage sufferers to heal themselves through self-help recovery. Anxiety management and CBT strategies are used to help callers to achieve their goals. Full training will be given to potential volunteers.

Help-liners can go on to train as mentors offering sufferers complete recovery support and guidance.

From a volunteer perspective, this is an opportunity to learn about these disorders and to add this experience to your CV. All we ask is you remain on the helpline for one year after which you will receive written confirmation outlining your involvement.
