How to apply
The NSPCC school service aims to reach and protect every primary school child (4-11 years old) and empower school communities to fight for every childhood.
Our Speak out Stay safe programme is protecting a generation of children against abuse one primary school at a time. And we want you to join us.
Through interactive assemblies and workshops our fully trained volunteers visit local schools to give children information about their rights, help them to understand abuse, and give them the confidence and courage to speak out and seek help if they ever need it.
Our belief is that every child has the right to a happy childhood, and our volunteers play a vital role in providing a generation of children with the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect.
You will need to be confident, proactive and have a sensitive and supportive nature to effectively communicate and engage with children.
We are looking for committed people who can visit 2 schools per month (term time only) and be able to volunteer in the role for a minimum of one year following training.
