Who we are:

Oxfam Bishops Stortford Books and Music shop opens at the end of July 2019 and will trade 7 days each week. Our new shop will trade 9.30-5 Monday to Saturday and 11-3 on Sundays.If you are passionate about retail and customer service, join us at the outset alongside our welcoming volunteer team.

Oxfam shops throughout the UK engage with their local community who donate goods to help Oxfam raise funds for its global projects. Oxfam Bishops Stortford is looking for cashiers to help with our customer service on the shop floor - with no previous experience required.

What the role involves...

  • A minimum flexible commitment of 2-3 hours or more by arrangement during the week or weekend
  • Operating the shop's computerised tills and digital Gift Aid tablet
  • Assisting customers on the shop floor and processing card and cash transactions
  • Accepting donations and thanking our donors and customers
