PACSO is a Chichester-based Charity that supports parents and carers who have a child or young person with a special educational need or disability.
We provide play and social opportunities for children and young people and their siblings, and much needed respite for parents and carers in Chichester and Arun districts
At PACSO we welcome children and young people age 0-25 with any special need or disability - physical, learning and behavioural.
We will support every child or young person, no matter how complex or challenging their needs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join PACSO as a
VOLUNTEER HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPETENT PERSON
For 2 – 4 days per month
to assist put in place structures, arrangements and policies relating to Health and Safety and to support a legally compliant and safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will have the experience, training and qualifications to deliver the role and will have up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relating to key risks including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997.
Experience of working with Charities is desirable however, not essential.
Working hours are flexible and can include some home working with a requirement to spend some time or at our office in Chichester.
