Looking to inspire the next generation of Coders
Code Club is global network of volunteer-led coding clubs for children. There are currently over 12,000 clubs in over 160 countries, supporting over 180,000 young people each week.
The Peckham Code Club is a free coding club for children and young people. We try to make our sessions engaging and interactive and teach coding through fun activities and using resources such as micro:bit and Lego.
We currently run sessions for children aged 7 to 11 years old. In September 2019, we will be launching our Teen Code Club for children aged 12 to 18 years old.
We are based in Peckham Library and operate every Thursday from 6pm to 7pm during term-time.
We are looking for friendly and reliable people to join our team of committed volunteers to help deliver our sessions.
For our Teen Code Club, you must have programming skills/technical background. We will be delivering a programme that will include the following:
- HTML & CSS
- Game Development
- Digital Design
You will be free to move between our Young Children sessions and Teen Code Club to add variety and broaden your experience.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a new code club with plenty of opportunities to shape and grow the role as well as gain skills in other areas.
