EC1V, London
Job description

Volunteers play a crucial part in helping us bring about lasting improvements in the quality of life for children in the poorest countries in the world.

Whether you are looking for work-related experience, filling in gaps in your CV, or just want to help contribute to our cause, we have an opportunity available as a Sponsorship Communications Volunteer.

Through Child Sponsorship, we deliver an engaging one-to-one relationship between over 80,000 child sponsors and the children they sponsor. This is your chance to be involved in facilitating communications between our sponsors and sponsored children. You’ll read and log letters from sponsored children, making sure they’re in line with our Child Protection policy and procedures, and will spot and share opportunities showing the tangible impact of sponsoring, to help us build on the experience.

You will need to have a high level of English literacy and good attention to detail. You’ll also have basic computer skills, and a commitment to Child Protection. You should be able to spend a minimum of 10 hours a week (ideally across two days) for a minimum of three months. Our office hours are 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday).

For more information, please download the task description.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Tuesday 29 October 2019

Interviews will be held on either Wednesday 6 or Thursday 7 November 2019

Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
