Volunteer Role:
We need your help as a volunteer to offer support to us as our Administrator who can support our Founder and CEO with the charity's administrative duties at REMIX, including setting up our admin systems and processes. You will play a very vital and pivotal role at REMIX.
Key Responsibilities:
- To create a framework for the charity’s administration. Establish policies and procedures that align with the charity's objectives.
- To ensure the efficient running of all activities, including quality assurance, health and safety, strategy, governance, financial management, and human resources management.
- To act as the first point of contact for external organisations, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Maintain compliance with regulations and present a positive image of the charity.
- To input and maintain financial records and charity databases.
- To process gift-aid claims and maintain accurate contribution records for donors.
- To maintain an accurate compliance schedule to aid account audits. Ensure timely returns and filings to relevant statutory bodies (e.g. HMRC and the Charity Commission).
- To oversee all legal documents related to the charity, including equipment acquisitions, maintenance, insurance policies, and claims reporting.
- To co-ordinate day-to-day office-related activities.
- To organise and maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
- To book meetings and events and provide logistics for them.
- To manage public inquiries and correspondence.
- Other administrative duties required to support REMIX.

Volunteer Role:

In summary, both fundraisers and grant writers will play pivotal roles in securing funding for REMIX. Fundraisers engage with potential donors directly, while grant writers create compelling proposals that capture the attention of funders and demonstrate why a project and REMIX deserves financial support.
Key Responsibilities:

Fundraiser:
- Research: To explore and identify potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations interested in contributing to REMIX.
- Communication: To effectively convey REMIX's mission, vision, and programmes to potential donors, emphasising the impact of their contributions.
- Campaign Execution: To strategise and execute fundraising campaigns, which may involve events, online drives, or other initiatives to raise funds for REMIX.
- Lead Activities: To plan, organise and lead on fundraising activities that would generate much needed income for REMIX. As well as supporting those who fundraise on our behalf.

Grant Writer:
- Proposal Crafting: To specialise in creating persuasive grant proposals and to craft compelling narratives that showcase the strengths of a specific project or REMIX.
- Data Gathering: To work closely with the wider REMIX team to gather essential information and data to support the grant proposal. This includes understanding the project’s goals, impact, and financial needs.
- Understanding Requirements: Ensure that you have a deep understanding of the grant application process and the specific requirements of potential funders.
- Research Skills: Strong research skills are crucial. To analyse data from various sources, such as academic papers, industry reports, and government statistics, synthesizing it into a clear narrative that supports the grant proposal.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is critical in grant writing and ensure that proposals meet all necessary criteria and deadlines.
- Excellent Writing Skills: To write persuasive, concise, and professional narratives, communicating complex ideas effectively.

We are the Ranger Cadets a brand new independent non-profit uniformed youth group that is being set up with an aim of getting young people engaged in their community in uniform, as well as upskilling them to unlock their full potential by providing skills for life, opportunities to get involved in the community and gain new experiences as part of a team, making our community a much better place.
We are a non-political and non-religious inclusive uniformed youth organisation that is open and welcoming to everyone regardless of their social background.

What is the process?
You will take part in our training programme with other young people for the role. You have a choice of two groups;
Group 1: Fast Track (2 weekends of 6 hours each day = 4 days in total)
- Weekend 1 (Recruit Weekend) You will earn your uniform at the end of this weekend.
- Weekend 2 (NCO Course Weekend) You will earn the rank of Senior Cadet at the end of this weekend
Group 2: Training (12 evenings of 2 hours each evening = 3 months in total)
- Week 1 to 6 (Recruit) You will earn your uniform at the end of week 6.
- Week 6 to 12 (NCO Course) You will earn the rank of Senior Cadet at the end of week 12.
During this training you will be assessed to which level would suit you and your skills and abilities based on your active participation, skills and abilities. We have 3 young leadership levels, which include;
- Level 1: Senior Cadet / (you will lead and coach a small group of cadets (young people) at the unit.
- Level 2: Corporal // (you will lead and coach large groups of young people (cadets and senior cadets) at the unit and take on leadership duties at the unit.
- Level 3: Sergeant /// (you will lead all young people at the unit and assist the Unit Officers in running the cadet unit each week).
If you show great promise on the NCO Induction and you are aged between 18 and 25 years old, you will have the opportunity to attend further training to obtain one of the following ranks;
- Level 4: Staff Sergeant (This person is second in charge of a cadet unit and you will support the Officer in Charge in running a cadet unit).
- Level 5: OIT (Officer In Training) - (You will shadow our Officer in Charge and learn how to run a cadet unit and within 3-6 months you will take on the role of Officer In Charge of a new or exisitng cadet unit).

We're on the look out for a dedicated, hard working, passionate and creative Trainer / Training Designer, who can design and create some fun, challenging and interactive training sessions that motivate young people and/or volunteers, create team spirit and team bonding, boosts confidence and also gives a sense of achievement as well as a sense of belonging to the Ranger Cadets.
We are particularly interested in the following Training sessions to be designed and created, which will include;
- Recruit Training - (4-6 weeks of 1.5 hours per week) for young people who are just joining Ranger Cadets for the first time and will get to know the Ranger Cadets, their role, build team work skills and build a sense of belonging while having fun and enjoyment become part of the local community and allows them to earn young people their uniform and begin their journey with the Ranger Cadets.
- Cadet Syllabus - (3 to 10 hours) that will be fun, interactive and challenging and help develop our young people, giving them the tools, techniques and skills needed in a particular topic or area relevant to the needs of young people such as in Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Self Development, Community Work, Drill/Marching/Parading, First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, and other topics that will earn Cadets badges for their uniform.
- NCO Training (Youth Leadership) - (2 day course = approx 10-12 hours) for young people beginning their leadership journey at Ranger Cadets, where they will understand the role of leadership, leading other young people, peer mentoring and team work, as well as how to plan and organise lessons and activities for other young people that will earn them a promotion in rank to Senior Cadet and the rank insignia for their uniform.
- Officer Training (Adult Leadership) - (4 day course - approx 20-24 hours) for adult volunteers joining Ranger Cadets who will become an Officer In Charge of a Ranger Cadets Cadet Unit, taking on a leadership role, including running a cadet unit, safeguarding, working with young people, dealing with challenging behaviour, leading people and managing volunteers.
You MUST be able to help make Ranger Cadets a huge success by creating fun, engaging, interactive training for our people. We're only looking for a creative and driven fully motivated volunteer to join us and help us create something special.
This is a NON-UNIFORMED role at Ranger Cadets.

We're looking for people to support the Regional Lead Volunteer in the South East of England. We're looking for few people across the region to help the Regional Team with a number of different tasks; such as:
- Helping search and recruit for new County Lead Volunteers

Help us engage the next generation in taking action for wildlife!. We are looking for people to help with our existing groups in Barrow, Cockermouth, Gosling Sikes (Carlisle), and Grange. We are also looking for a Watch leader and helpers for our Penrith group.
What is a Wildlife Watch Leader Volunteer?
Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trusts and is the UK's leading club for young environmentalists. Our local Wildlife Watch clubs across Cumbria run a varied programme of fun environmental and wildlife focused activities, aimed at 6–12 year-olds and their families.
As a Wildlife Watch Leader you will be a key player in Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s work with young people. You will have the opportunity to engage with a group of young people on a regular basis, to getting to know them and helping to shape their learning and understanding about the environment. This role can extremely rewarding for you.

• Adopt guidelines to assist you in running safe and enjoyable meetings. These include safeguarding, H&S, risk assessments and participation registration
• Promote Wildlife Watch and Cumbria Wildlife Trust, using templates and posters provided
• Keep in regular contact with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, young people and their families
• Support young people gaining Wildlife Watch awards, celebrating their activities and achievements
Who would suit this role?
This role will suit anyone interested in volunteering with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, who loves wildlife and wants to make a real difference in their local community. It would especially suit those who:

Volunteer handbook and Trust induction.
Health and safety and safeguarding training will be mandatory.Risk assessment, participant registration, Wildlife Watch templates, posters, email etc.. will all be provided
Volunteers are able to receive travel expenses of 0.45p per mile agreed in advanced with their staff contact.
First aid training will be provided for volunteer leaders.
The Trust will apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for volunteers undertaking this role because it involves working with children and young people or vulnerable adults.
In the second stage of the volunteer recruitment process, we will take up two references.

The Island Lead Volunteer is a key volunteer leadership role within Scouting with responsibility for providing outstanding management and support for the groups within the County. The primary focus for the Island Lead Volunteer is to ensure that Scouting is able to reach every young person in Jersey; open to all regardless of faith, colour or social background, because we believe Scouting has the ability to change lives.
This is achieved by leading the team of Group Lead Volunteers, and other Island appointments as well as working with the Growth and Communities Team (employed staff) to provide enough places to meet the demand for Scouting, and by ensuring that every youth member has access to a high-quality balanced programme that is challenging, relevant and rewarding.
As our Island Lead Volunteer, you'll get the opportunity to lead Jersey through transformation and develop working in teams, and look at extending the reach of scouting to all parts of the county and for all those who want to become involved. You will be able to really develop and hone your leadership skills by managing teams of remote volunteers across the breadth of Jersey.
Leading and managing volunteers provides so much more opportunity and experiences than with employees, and the skills you can gain by doing this really can be a great asset for your professional life as well as in Scouts. Family Futures is a not for profit, independent adoption and fostering agency and a therapy centre in London, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2022 for the fourth consecutive time. We have a reputation for innovation and providing a gold standard service to children and families. It is an exciting time for Family Futures as we celebrate our 25th anniversary of helping families heal this year and develop our new strategy to drive forward our pioneering work into the future.
Family Futures offers a special service to assess, treat and find families for children who are traumatised or have attachment difficulties. Our services extend to adoptive, foster, special guardian, and at risk families.
What you will be doing.
As a Maintenance Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities and creating a supportive environment for our clients. Your duties will include fixing furniture and equipment, installing new fixtures and appliances, assembling furniture, handling basic plumbing tasks, and undertaking repair jobs such as painting, decorating, carpentry, and basic electrics. You will also assist in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our clients, ensuring their safety and security. By volunteering your skills and expertise, you will become an integral part of our mission to improve the lives of children in need.
Who is right for the role.
We are particularly looking for those who have some or all of the following qualities and experience:
- Hands-on experience with a variety of home repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use common tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Warm and friendly
- Patience and a willingness to help others.

Duration commitment.

The Director of Service Delivery will take a strategic lead for the management of organizational output and service delivery. The incumbent will ensure that key departments with responsibility for delivering our work are performing to a high standard, that the organization is developing and the output related process and policies are working well, and that support is offered to departmental heads and management where needed.
Duties

To work alongside chief level staff to support the organization's development and overview incorporation

To contribute significantly towards supporting and strategically leading service delivery, with a focus on assurance of high quality impact

In most cases be the person departmental heads and management can turn to for guidance as appropriate

Be available to provide regular day to day strategic management and decision making capabilities as required

To always ensure that momentum and progress across organizational delivery related work is maintained and that all staff working in these areas are aware of this.

To identify problems and take action to resolve them to contribute to positive development and effectiveness whereby it may impact the daily business of the organization
Important expectations

The incumbent will be expected to generally check slack messages and emails every day, and be prepared to receive phone calls and phone or WhatsApp messages (in urgent circumstances).

The incumbent is expected to be able to deal with all situations, and be aware of the relevant information in order to do so.

Tthe incumbent will be expected to deal with issues and be proactive taking their own initiative as to improving and developing the organization

To coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer and others as required, and work together with the Chief Operating Officer and others to manage the day to day business of the organization.

To commit as much time as required to the role, using a range of 7 to 14 hours per week as a guide.
Must have
