The Refugee Café works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities in Lewisham. Our commitment is to reach the most vulnerable people in our community and help them access the support they are entitled to. Refugees will benefit from workshops, training skills and knowledge relevant for catering industry.

Christmas is our busiest time of the year as we sell special products such as hampers, truffles etc.

We need a Christmas Helper to assist with the preparation, packing and delivery of our Christmas products including hampers, truffles, tinned biscuits, tea gift set and calendars. Duties include:

• Packaging the Christmas products using the labels and packaging 

• Taking the products to be posted 

• Preparing products for the market stalls

You will gain:

• Improve your confidence and communication skills

• Access training opportunities available to Refugee Café volunteers

• Meeting people and making new friends

We offer to cover travel expenses up to £3 per day
