Could you be a Relate Centre trustee?
Relate’s vision is for a future in which good couple and family relationships form the heart of a thriving society. At Relate Derby and Southern Derbyshire we work with children and young people, families, people on the autism spectrum and children in care as well as our work with couples and individuals.
We have recently set out an ambitious strategy for the next three years. To help us fulfil these ambitions, we are looking for three new, experienced and committed Trustees to play an essential role in the governance and development of our charity. We are seeking Trustees with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Finance, IT, communications and marketing, voluntary sector management and law.
You need not have been a charity trustee before, but you will have experience of participating and decision-making at a senior level; independence of thought and judgement; a strong belief in Relate’s ethos and values and time to commit.
You will have ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction of the charity and for ensuring Relate Derby and Southern Derbyshire is effectively delivering high quality services that meet the needs of our local community. You will ensure Relate Derby and southern Derbyshire complies with charity law and is well-run.
We know that our trustee Board does not sufficiently reflect the diversity of the local community which we serve and so we would particularly welcome applications from people of different ethnic origins or faiths, younger people, people with disabilities and people from the LGBTQI community.
Closing date for applications: 9am, 29th July, 2019.
Interviews: Thursday 1st August 2019.
