Job description

Richard House is a children's hospice based in East London. We care for children with life threatening and life limiting conditions. It is essential that we are continously reaching out to the community to raise awareness and funds.

This is a great opportunity to engage with the families that use our facilities. You will attend cheque presentations, deliver talks to local community groups, take part in local collections at churches, mosqques and community events.

Provide information on how people can get involved in supporting us and identify potential volunteers who would be willing to support Richard house families.

You will attend training training provided by Richard House and maintain regular contact with the Community and Events Manager.

You will need to be committed, reliable and have a professional demeanor.

Enthusiasm for Richard house and flexibility to volunteer during evenings and weekends as required.

A confident public speaker with excellent communication skills.

The time committment is flexible but we ask you to be involved with us for a minimum period of 6 months.

This is a great way to develope your presentation and communication skills. Develope networking skills. Gain experience of the charity sector and fundraising.
