We’re a very small youth and community project called Riverside Youth Project. We’re a not-for-profit that’s 100% volunteer run and led.
Our aim is to work with young people aged 13-19 years old, in areas along the River Thames to provide them with positive youth work-based activities that inspire and give young people the opportunities and experiences to discover themselves and the world around them, while giving them the tools and skills they need in life and help them transition from adolescence into adulthood.
We need the help and support from an experienced and qualified Trainer or Learning and Development person who can join our new start-up as a Youth Work Trainer for a few hours per months (evening/weekend based) and help us by leading on the planning, organising, and delivering of Youth Work Training to our volunteers who will be working with young people aged 13 to 19 years old in London.
This will include an introduction to youth work and working with young people, young peoples rights and repsonsibilities, dealing with conflict or challenging behaviour, safeguarding and other related areas relevent to working with young Londoners.
The role will be London based, close to the River Thames in Bank (City of London) and also in Crossharbour (Tower Hamlets), with some remote based volunteering too.
