We are "Scotia Youth" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to empower young people by providing new opportunities and life experiences in a fresh, vibrant, fun, engaging and inspiring approach, where we will deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE young people and communities for a more equal and tolerant society, EDUCATE young people in life, social and work skills, EMPOWER a generation of young successful, confident, effective and responsible leaders and active citizens, and CHANGE the negative stereotypes society can have of young people by promoting the good that young people do.
Come join our community as our Youth Team Manager, where you will play a vital role in helping us provide much needed opportunities and new experiences for young people in Edinburgh, where you will lead on our one off and short term Scotia Youth activities and programmes, creating amazing opportunities for young people that are fun, interactive and rewarding, ensuring young people gain new experiences while enjoying their time with us.
This volunteer opportunity is flexible and can be done around your availabilty. Our activities and programmes are one off and short term to allow for a more flexible volunteering opportunity and you will manage your own workload as well as that of your team.
This role involves creating programmes for young people to take part in with the input of young people, development of programmes, young people and volunteers, as well ensuring our youth activities are amazing and well promoted and engaged in.
You will need some experience in planning and organising activities and programmes, ideally you will have experience of working with young people too and be very hands on, approachable and bubbly type of character.
