Job Description

Secret World Wildlife Rescue specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. It is run entirely on donations and runs a wildlife rescue service in the South West of England.

Each year, more than 5,000 wild animals are helped by Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Together with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, we continue to care for all manner of creatures, from the tiniest harvest mice and bats to badgers, swans, foxes, deer and otters.

To volunteer as a Secret World response driver, you must have a valid driving licence, have access to your own transport and have some free periods of time most weeks. Response drivers are called upon, dependent on their availability and level of training, to respond to rescues, collect and transport animal casualties. Those new to the role will initially respond to calls to collect small mammals and birds which are already contained and through training will be able to progress onto the capture of larger species over time.
