Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes, styling advice and interview training to women in need. We give women the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools they require to succeed at interview and start a new chapter in their life.
At the core of our service is a two-hour appointment, during which time each woman receives a complete outfit of high quality clothes (theirs to keep) and dedicated one-to-one interview training. Our support really works, and we are incredibly proud that over one in two of client we are able to contact go on to get the job.
Volunteers are central to our success, as they deliver all aspects of our service, and as we look to support more unemployed women we are looking to recruit an intern to join our volunteer community. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is committed to supporting our work and who is looking to gain administrative experience in a lively office environment.

Location and Logistics
You will be based in our largest UK office in Islington, which is a busy and vibrant space. You will be at the heart of the action as you will volunteer alongside our HQ team.
Volunteering with Smart Works is rewarding and engaging. You will be trained in the different aspects of your role and you will have regular catch-ups with a staff member.
We are looking for a volunteer to join us for between a month and three months from January 2018. We are at our busiest between Monday and Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm, so we are ideally looking for an intern to volunteer between those hours. We are, however, open to discussing and adjusting this schedule - as well as the start and end date.
We will cover your travel costs within central London during your time with us but this is a volunteering opportunity which is not paid.
