Job description


We are a small community organisation based in Larkhall Ward, in Lambeth.  We mainly provide services to residents of Springfield Estate, to include ESOL, crèche/nursery and breakfast club and afterschools provision, as well as a senior citizen’s group.  Our work is inclusive, welcoming a wide range of people and experiences.  In short, we welcome all regardless of immigration status.



The Volunteer will work with the Chair and Office Manager, as well as other staff and volunteers to research, source and apply for funding.   Sponsorship will be secured through a wide variety of funding sources, to include the local authority, national, and Volunteerational grants, corporate funding and trust funding from grant making trusts.

You will be a committed individual who wants to develop professional fundraising skills. You may already have fundraising experience in either a paid or voluntary capacity for a charity or other voluntary organisation. It is likely that you will bring a good understanding of the importance of customer care and that you will have good project management skills.

Whatever your background, you will be an effective and engaging communicator with the interpersonal skills that are essential for developing good relationships with your colleagues and supporters alike. One of your key strengths will be your confidence in interacting with people at all levels, as well as being a ‘hands-on’ person with a ‘can do’ attitude.

It is the policy of Springfield Community Flat to offer to pay reasonable expenses incurred by volunteers during the course of their work.
