St Joseph’s Hospice serves diverse communities in East and North East London with serious, life-limiting conditions. Many people who could access our service do not speak English as their first language. We are looking for volunteers who could help us to translate some information leaflets for people whose first language is not English. We are currently looking for volunteers who specialises in Bengali, Punjabi, Urdu and Turkish.
Could you interpret written pieces in different languages, while making sure that the original meaning, format and tone are maintained? Could you proofread finished pieces of work? Could you offer your time and skills a few times a year on an ad hoc basis to translate documents from English to Bengali, Punjabi, Urdu or Turkish. If yes, we would love to hear from you!
As a volunteer translator you will receive notifications via a dedicated mailing list whenever an opportunity arises. You will be credited for your work.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
