Description; What will the volunteer be doing?
The HR Manager in the absence of an HR Director is the head of the department. Your remit is to ensure that all processes and systems are in place to allow the smooth operation of the department, making any needed recommendations for improvement. You will assist in ensuring the organisation has the appropriate internal culture, working environment and capability across staff and volunteers in order for us to achieve our strategic goals.
You may be asked to contribute in the areas of Learning & Development, Organisational Development & Design and there is work needed around Employee/Volunteer Experience including Wellbeing and Retention.
You will develop role descriptions as needed in line with company requirements and best practice, submitting these to the Lead Recruitment Executive for advertisement design. You will delegate and allocate tasks and assignments to the Recruitment Team via the Lead Recruitment Executive. From time to time you may also be asked to assist the legal team with Employment Law issues.
What are we looking for? (skills, experience, knowledge)
- Solid HR Generalist experience, along with a leadership role such as HR Business Partner or HR Manager.
- CIPD membership and qualified in Human Resource Management at Level 5 Diploma or above.
- Degree qualification in Human Resources is preferred although not necessarily essential.
