Makeni, Bombali
Voluntary
Job description

There has never been a better time to get involved with Street Child. We are one of the most ambitious and exciting international development charities around and this is your chance to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

In 2008, Street Child was launched in Sierra Leone and since then our local team has grown to over 400 social workers, educators, finance officers, business mentors and Directors. As a Street Child volunteer, you will be working closely alongside these teams supporting their work where your skills are most needed.

As a Communications Volunteer, you will be capturing stories from the field to create compelling content for the Street Child portfolio that may be published across both our own as well as national media platforms. Additionally, this will include documenting the progress of our projects. You will also be developing a communication strategy and content for our local partners to help train them on case study writing and photography. Working alongside the local team, you will be able to create your own narrative but you will also be expected to remain flexible in order to perform tasks according to the project needs at the time of your placement.
