Job description

Would you like to contribute to the development of children aged 2-5? Sunnyside Community Playgroup is currently looking for volunteers to join its managing Committee. 

Committee members work together to support the playgroup’s goal of aiding the development and education of pre-school children in Berkhamsted. You will be helping our children to flourish and progress with confidence to the next stage of their learning journey at school. 

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, who have a willingness to take an active part in the committee’s work. Committee members serve as trustees of the playgroup but the duties of the group are varied and rewarding – from planting the allotment to approving charity accounts to holding end of term fundraisers.

Individuals with skills and experience in the following areas would be particularly suited to the role: Early years foundation stage (EYFS) education, gardening and allotment maintenance, fundraising and marketing, finance and charity accounts, and HR. 

The committee has 3 meetings a year in Berkhamsted and carries out the majority of its work via email and Whatsapp.
