Voluntary
Job description

This is an ONLINE role

We are seeking someone to join our Living Well team to help as a Volunteer Moderator for our My Community Forum. The role is perfect for anyone hoping to expand their online technical support skills or share their web-based forum usability experience with the charity. An understanding or awareness of mental health issues in general and in relation to living with HIV is a desired skill.

You can expect to do tasks such as providing one-to-one support on the Forums' day-to-day use, identifying inappropriate posts and, where appropriate, any deletions, bans or warnings. You may also provide information on other voluntary or statutory agencies, including THT services which may benefit people living with HIV and related conditions.

Our Volunteers Moderators provide some emotional and social support based on lived experience. Our new volunteers should be people living with HIV so that they may give advice on how to manage HIV as a long-term condition. Ideally, we would like someone to dedicate two hours per week, but this is flexible and will be discussed and agreed with your volunteer manager. A DBS check is required.
