About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit an Administration Volunteer for the Coventry Group. As an Administration Volunteer you will be organising the admin of a group and ensuring group volunteers are aware of current agreements and activities.
We are a small group looking to increase our capacity in order to provide a range of support options to the local MS community. We are currently 4 active volunteers who provide support to local people affected by MS. We organise occasional socials and fund a local partnership with their Citizens Advice Bureau to provide specialized advice to people with MS who may have issues with benefits, debt, housing etc. We are keen to organize information events to benefit the local MS community and are keen to hear from anyone who would like to get involved.
We estimate this role would need around 1-2 hours per week of your time, but we are flexible around your availability. We also meet as a group every month for 2 hours.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be a keen organiser of admin and record keeping and willing to share information with others.
You’ll need to live in or near the Coventry area to carry out this role.
