About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for the Horsham, Crawley and district Group. As a Group Coordinator you will be acting as an ambassador for the group, developing annual plans, leading the group’s activities and recruiting and supporting group volunteers.
We have an exciting opportunity for anyone who may be interested in volunteering, taking on a key role to help lead a great group of volunteers in the Horsham, Crawley and District area.
This dedicated group of volunteers meet monthly, involve themselves in regular local fundraising activities and provide regular support services for people with and affected by MS. We are looking to recruit a candidate that can assist in directing this group of volunteers towards fundraising goals and local events that raise awareness of MS. If you are a person with leadership skills, a passion for communicating and have a few hours you can spare we would love to hear from you.
Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. This role will involve a monthly team meeting which will last around two hours as well as any supporting activities such as recruiting and inducting new volunteers which will require an addition hour or two per week. You are also invited to attend one of our local volunteer forums (2 per year) and Group Coordinator meetings (2 per year).
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be able to coordinate and support a team of volunteers and be comfortable using a PC and internet.
The MS Society is committed to promoting diversity. We can only offer roles to over 18s.
