About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Volunteer for the Medway Group. As a Health & Safety Volunteer, you will ensure group activities, events and premises are safe and inclusive for everyone.
We are a passionate group of 14 volunteers supporting the 150+ people affected by MS in Medway and the surrounding area. We are planning to expand our activities and services and in doing this we require an interested person to take over our Health & Safety volunteer role.
The role does not require regular times of volunteering and training is offered which is usually one day but with ongoing support from our Health and Safety Officer who gives guidance and support on our documents and systems.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers.
You’ll need to live in the Medway area to carry out this role.
