The Museums Association Benevolent Fund exists to support MA members facing financial difficulties and to provide financial support for professional development.
We are looking for three new trustees to join the existing fund who will add to this charity with an understanding of charitable giving and commitment to furthering professional development in the sector.
The role involves attending at least two online meetings per year and liaising as a committee via email and telephone meetings, dealing with applications during the year.
The role is not remunerated but expenses are reimbursed.
We welcome applications from people with a range of diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities, people of colour, people who identify as LGBTQ+ and people from a range of socio-economic and educational backgrounds.
We are also looking for committee members with experience of grant giving, professional development and knowledge of equality, inclusion and diversity work in museums.
