ONE Youth Ambassador

ONE Youth Ambassadors programme in the UK are looking for young people to join us in 2024. If you care about doing your part in the fight for a world without inequality and injustice, then this programme is for you.

As part of this one year volunteer programme, you will get an opportunity to advocate for, represent and feed into ONE campaigns. You will get a chance to campaign and engage your political representatives about a variety of issues, such as  climate justice, global health and global financial justice.  

Each Ambassador will receive training, access to high-profile events, in-depth policy briefings, as well as dedicated support from ONE’s expert team. They will carry out a variety of campaigns and advocacy actions and will attend events both online and offline. This role is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to build their skills in campaigning and advocacy and to get some international development experience.

What we are looking for:

• A passion for ONE’s campaigns and our mission to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in low-income countries in Africa

• Excitement to carry out creative and impactful community actions in support of ONE’s campaigning work

• Attendance at a programme induction and training in early February

• Willingness to attend monthly meetings (online and/or offline) 

• Interest to develop communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships

• Willingness to learn how to encourage and support others to take part in ONE campaigns

• A written confirmation of service and certificate on completion of the programme
