SW19, London
Voluntary
Job description

We are currently a Thursday night club based in Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton, with two clubs - one for 13-25 year olds and one for over 25s. At our club nights we provide ways for people with learning disabilities to have fun, socialise with their friends and try new experiences. Our members are the most important part of The Squad. We work hard to make sure they help to the run the club and are involved with decisions about its future, and we gather feedback from them each week through an evaluation process. The members are supported by a part-time club leader and an enthusiastic and hard-working group of volunteers. They help to organise activities and everyone is able to take part.

Can you spare two hours a week to work with some of the most friendly, welcoming people you’ll ever meet? If so, then please come and help our volunteers to organise fun, engaging activities at our ever-growing club for people with learning disabilities. No previous experience is needed, you just need a caring attitude and sense of fun!

Our club is split into two age groups 14-25 yrs and 25 yrs + . You have a chance to make a real difference to either group by creating new experiences, helping our members to grow in confidence, build friendships and learn new skills. Our specialist club leaders will support and train you and you’ll benefit from working in a very rewarding environment!
