Job description

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to move the majority of our fundraising and outreach efforts online, but our carers need our support now more than ever. To keep our services going, we need to raise over £400 a day. 

We are looking for volunteers to help us raise awareness about carers issues, promote our services and raise vital funds. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a range of new skills such as project management, social media, marketing and fundraising.


You’ll be helping us with some or all of the following activities:

  • Online fundraising (organising virtual events, crowdfunding, challenges etc)

  • Raising awareness about carers issues (e.g. writing blogs, facebook posts)

  • Promoting our services on social media to ensure the people who need them are aware of and able to access them


What skills are we looking for? 

You will need to be computer literate and have a good grasp of social media channels such as facebook and twitter. You’ll need to be able to work independently and with remote supervision. Good knowledge of the Trafford area is essential.

You might also have some knowledge or experience in any of the following areas: 

  • Using social media professionally 

  • Event planning and management

  • Experience of creating online content 

  • Fundraising

  • Local community connections

  • An understanding of the issues that affect unpaid carers 

  • Strong written communication skills
