Job description

Finance Trustee

TreeSisters is looking for an inspiring individual to join our committed board of Trustees as an experienced Finance Trustee. We are looking for someone who will be hands-on in guiding the charity and be available to provide advice on an adhoc basis as well as attend scheduled meetings.

The applicant will be expected to demonstrate relevant qualifications and experience as this role will involve maintaining an overview of the financial affairs at an exciting time of expansion and increasing global visibility for the charity. We would be looking to the Finance Trustee to support the Board in ensuring effective financial controls are in place commensurate with risk and to oversee sound monitoring and reporting on the financial health of TreeSisters by the finance function.

Finance is managed day to day by the charity Finance Manager. We would be looking to you to establish and lead the Finance sub-committee to support the process of accounting and audit, financial control and compliance. We expect the role to require 2-3 hours per week, however, there are lots of projects that the new Trustee would be welcome to be part of should their time commitment allow.
