Westminster Befriend a Family is seeking new trustees – including a Chair of Trustees – to support us as continually develop the reach and impact of our services.
WBAF works throughout the borough of Westminster to improve the lives of vulnerable children and families by offering opportunities for learning and development and supporting them to improve their living conditions and physical and mental health.
Our volunteers provide family support services to a diverse range of families each year. We support families with children from birth to 18 who have multiple and complex needs. We also provide a wide variety of supplementary services including: advice surgeries; children’s swimming, weekly martial arts and dance lessons; coffee morning/life coaching sessions for parents; and family outings.
We are looking for motivated and committed trustees to expand our current board and work with the Chief Executive to create and guide our strategy for development.
Team working, commitment and good communication skills are vital for the successful functioning of the board. We also welcome individuals with additional skills or experience in:
WBAF is committed to equality and diversity and we encourage expressions of interest from all communities and backgrounds, particularly Westminster residents. Interested individuals must be available to attend and contribute to board meetings every four to six weeks. In addition, trustees may sit on sub-committees and attend occasional events with staff and service users.
