Job description

Be the Change by Supporting Local Counselling Services

Are you interested in bringing Quality Low-Cost Counselling to Communities? Would You Like to Bring Your Governance Skills to Support the MHCPC?

The Manor House Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling is based in North London and has provided counselling services to the local community for over 30 years.

As a charity, we have supported and assisted individuals on low incomes to have access to affordable, long term psychodynamic counselling which is not widely available elsewhere. We run a BACP and BPC accredited training programme to promote personal development and growth, whilst supporting communities through the provision of further qualified counsellors providing talking therapy.

The pandemic has created further stressors on individuals and communities, which means that more than ever, our services are needed. With finite resources, we need to ensure that these resources provide maximum impact in communities, whilst trustees look towards generating further income sources for the charity. These are testing times, which means that we are looking to build a range of skills within our trustee board to support the charitable work we do in providing low-cost quality counselling services.

We are therefore looking to initially recruit 5 new trustees to the MHCPC charity. We are looking for trustees with financial, legal, human resource, fundraising and marketing skills.

If you have experience and skills in any of these five areas outlined, whether in the public or private sectors, and if you have an interest in supporting the provision of counselling services to local communities, why don’t you considering applying?

Applications should include a covering letter and CV, as well as 2 references.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 19th July 2021.
