Vegans Against World Hunger (VAWH) is a new charity that seeks to prevent and relieve human hunger, starvation and undernourishment both in the UK and Worldwide without harming non-human animals, by raising money for, and raising awareness of, vegan hunger relief projects. We also seek to raise awareness of the positive effects of veganism on global food security, the environment, human health and alleviating animal suffering.
We are now seeking a number of new trustees to help us move forward. Our trustees are responsible for controlling the administration and management of the charity. Trustee board meetings are held four times a year, currently in London.
To be considered for this role you must be committed to VAWH's values, vision and mission. We particularly welcome applicants who have previous trustee experience or expertise in one of the following areas: international development, charity governance, law, finance or income generation. Successful applicants will have a high level of personal integrity, be able to demonstrate good, independent judgement and decision-making skills and have the ability to understand and accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship.
