As a leading film, culture and digital media centre in the South West, we advance education, skills, appreciation and understanding of the arts with a particular focus on film, media and digital technologies.
We are looking to appoint up to 5 new board members from diverse backgrounds that can bring new energy, new ideas, new perspectives, and challenge and networks to enhance our work.
Valuing diversity of thought and representation, we are seeking to appoint Trustees with lived experience of being:
- People of colour
- Deaf and/or Disabled
- Under-representation because of your social or cultural background or your sexuality
As an organisation that strives to be a truly equitable social enterprise, we are keen to recruit people from all backgrounds with different levels of boardroom, professional and lived experience. You don’t have to have worked with an organisation like Watershed before. We welcome trustees from inside and outside the culture sector and would love to hear about your transferable skills.
We are looking for Trustees who are aligned with our values, are excited about our work and can contribute to our thinking, strategy, and business planning. We are particularly hoping to hear from people with expertise and experience in:
- Inclusion & Social impact
- Cultural Cinema
- Environmental sustainability
- Finance/ Business Development
At Watershed we believe our work will be stronger with greater board diversity and welcome applications from those who bring balance to our current trustee team.
We are particularly hoping to appoint a trustee with lived experience of being Deaf and/or Disabled to increase representation in this area.
Whilst we hope that trustees will feel comfortable to bring their whole self to their work with us, we expect all members of our Board to consider inclusion in all aspects of what we do, and do not expect individuals to represent specific groups or demographics.
