Job Title: Head of Finance 

Team: Finance

Location: Remote

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer 

Staff Management: None Currently 

Time Commitment 4-8 hours per week (plus any more time you are able to offer)


Job Brief

To provide timely and accurate bookkeeping and financial management for the organisation using Xero online accounting software. Reporting directly to the COO an Experienced Finance Director 


Day to day bookkeeping using Xero accounting software
Obtaining and online filing of all financial documentation
Recording invoices ensuring correct and consistent account coding
Reconciliation of company bank account, matching and allocating transactions
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Amending and updating the chart of accounts 
Key Balance Sheet reconciliations 
Accruals, prepayments and management accounts production
Adhoc financial reporting and analysis as requested 
Recommend process and system improvements for the finance function 
Build out and manage a finance team as the organisation grows 


An organised and methodical approach to tasks

High level of accuracy and attention to detail 

Exceptional communication skills 

Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies.

A willingness and eagerness to learn new accounting skills
Part Qualified Accountant (not essential) 

Experience with Xero Accounting Software
