Job description

Founded 80 years ago, the Wolvercote Young People’s Club (WYPC) is a charity that provides a unique safe space and inspiring activities for children and teenagers. It is based in its own premises in Wolvercote (with sports hall, art room, kitchen, games room, outdoor games court, etc) but also does outreach work in surrounding neighbourhoods. We encourage young people to raise their aspirations and by achieving them to make a positive contribution to wider society.

We are currently looking to recruit a new Chair of Trustees. This is an opportunity for an individual to make a lasting difference to the future of the WYPC and the children of Wolvercote and Cutteslowe.

Our new Chair of Trustees will need to:

• Attend and chair monthly meetings (evenings)

• Inspire and lead the team to promote and expand the WYPC’s activities

• Take a strong interest in providing services and opportunities for young people
