Yoga Stops Traffick is an exciting annual charity campaign, uniting yoga practitioners across the globe for a day of raising awareness and funds for survivors of human trafficking in India. Every year dozens of yoga events and classes are held from Sweden to New Zealand, bringing together a wonderful community of yogis and those new to yoga for a common cause.
2020 will be the 10th anniversary of Yoga Stops Traffick (YST) and we are looking to celebrate this in style as well as raise the campaign profile, participation and impact globally.
YST’s online presence and social media delivery are a key part of the campaign’s success. We are looking for a highly creative and passionate Social Media Manager to help deliver the campaign in 2020, increasing engagement, growing participant numbers and raising awareness about the campaign globally.
The key responsibilities for this post are:
• Developing and implementing YST2020 social media strategy with focus on increasing engagement and impact
• Developing YST2020 content and social media plan to drive participation and interest
• Running YST2020 day to day social media activity
• Building relationships with new outlets
• Developing new processes for responding to reactive opportunities across social media
You will be a brilliant communicator, passionate about social campaigning and marketing. You will have excellent copywriting skills and an eye for high-quality, compelling social media content.
You may be a student of digital marketing or similarly relevant field, and/or have a proven track record of delivering creative marketing campaigns, raising awareness through social media and building mutually beneficial partnerships.
Sympathy with our charitable aims of supporting survivors of human trafficking is a must.
The role is a home-based voluntary position with flexible hours of up to 10 hrs per week. We would need a minimum commitment of 6 months btw October 2019 – April 2020, but you would be welcome to join us sooner. Expenses paid travel to the YST2020 event in Mysore, South India, can be negotiated as part of the role.
