Job Description

We are "Youth Mix" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to become award winning by “Inspiring A Generation” and empowering young people through informal learning to be changemakers in their communities, and to deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE communities, EDUCATE on social issues and build skills, and INSPIRE a generation of leaders and active citizens.

We need an experienced Communications Officer to join us who is able to set up and develop our Communications, including running our social media platforms,writing press releases, creating content, articles and news, creating video stories and capturing other evidence that showcase the charity to put on social media as well as building a fantastic positive energy and buzz about Youth Mix, young people and shouting out our achievements and our mission, values and objectivies.

The role is what you make it and as a leader within the charity, you will have a massive input on shaping the culture, comms and direction of the charity, creating an amazing platform for us and creating a huge positive energy and buzz for both the charity and young people.

As this role is voluntary, the role offers great flexibility to fit around your time (including daytimes, evenings and/or weekends), where you will mostly manage your own workload, including mostly home based working until we are able to seek funding for an office base to host our charity.
