About the role 

As Lead Worker (Intensive Case Management), you will be the Lead Worker for people who need significant support to end their homelessness. You will be part of a team offering support to people who may be struggling to cope with overwhelming emotional and psychological distress. The support you offer will be person centred and holistic and will draw on individuals’ strengths and resilience. The team will work closely with other agencies to ensure sustainable housing solutions can be achieved. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have experience of working within a relevant sector delivering support to vulnerable adults. You will have exceptional knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness, and welfare legislation. You will have an awareness of the barriers to engagement and participation experienced by homeless and marginalised people and will understand how these barriers will be overcome. You will have the ability to make collaborative, consistent and persistent relationships with each person, and will have strong networking and partnership development skills to ensure the best outcomes with everyone. 

You may have experience in, housing, homelessness, welfare, complex needs, mental health, social care, offender management, support work, well-being.

Management of Staff, Freelancers and Volunteers

• Recruiting key staff and others.

Communications

• Overseeing the marketing and communications for Ark-T.

• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
• A driving license and use of a car as this is a countywide role.

Betknowmore UK is collaborating with partner organisations to work as part of a wider team, on the delivery of the Armed Forces Gambling Harms Support Network (AFGHSN). The work will include the provision of training and gambling awareness activities, helping to raise and address the subject of harmful gambling. Working and engaging with armed forces support and personnel services, individuals harmed by gambling, their wider network, stakeholders, and other relevant groups within the veteran and active armed forces communities, the aim is to create trained personnel able to support the work of the AFGHSN.​

A key aspect of the role will be working with individuals experiencing gambling harms, requiring an empathetic and compassionate approach and awareness of the complex issues being addressed. A robust management of safeguarding and safe working practices is essential.​

It is essential that you are based within one hour travelling time of London, as extensive travel to London and the UK is expected.

Role Purpose

An armed forces veteran or someone closely involved with the armed forces (a family member for example), the post holder will also have a unique insight on gambling harms, and their impact on health and wellbeing specifically within the military.

The Armed Forces Peer Aid Coordinator will initially prioritise engaging with veterans and military organisations to deliver the AFGHSN training programme, along with gambling awareness activities. The purpose is to upskill key armed forces personnel and those in connected communities, enabling and enhancing their knowledge, skills and confidence to address gambling harms. ​

The second key responsibility is to recruit, train and support Peer Supporters to deliver safe, effective support for individuals and their networks that have been harmed by gambling. It is expected that Peer Supporters will be individuals with ‘lived experience’ of gambling harm themselves or as an ‘affected other’.​

The post holder will work with the Head of Peer Support Services to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are strictly adhered to, and a clear understanding established of how the service integrates with other support and treatment networks.​

The AFGHSN Peer Aid team will ensure that the support and working relationships are safe and secure, and the health and wellbeing of all participants is intact. Peer Support will be in a befriending capacity and should be provided with a considered and transparent approach. Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.​

Stakeholder management is essential to the role, as is establishing and maintaining relationships within the AFGHSN, alongside confident communication skills to deliver presentations and other promotions within armed forces community, education and health centres to help grow and evolve the service. 

We are especially keen to receive applications from​ individuals with experience of gambling addiction​ and recovery from within the armed service with a minimum of two years abstinence.​

Having been paused to new referrals, Action for M.E.’s free, independent, Adults Advocacy service will soon be re-opening. It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.

Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.  

As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.

As an Ambassador for Mind BLMK, you will need to have a passion for mental health and an ability to operate at all levels.

The successful applicant will generate income and support all aspects of communication and marketing, to help to maximise local support, raise awareness of our work in the community, and by providing exceptional supporter stewardship, in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communication strategy.

Key Duties

• Act as the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries and provide stewardship and donor care for Mind BLMK’s individual givers, corporates, groups, volunteers and other supporters of the charity, in line with the fundraising strategy.
• Act as first point of contact for all marketing, PR and event enquiries.
• Send donors bespoke information and materials to support their fundraising at Mind BLMK.
• Ensure supporter interaction points (telephone, post, email) adhere to the highest standard.
• Support existing and develop new partnerships with corporates, organisations, and individuals, to support income growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with philanthropists and encourage legacy giving.
• Help with the co-ordination of fundraising volunteers, as requested or as appropriate.
• Help to identify and develop potential areas of fundraising growth and process improvements, in line with the Fundraising Strategy and supporting net income growth.
• Write and send outgoing thank you letters to all income streams.
• Help maintain an up-to-date and accurate supporter database, finance log and fundraising and communications materials.
• Support the implementation of marketing strategies and targeted campaigns; plan, develop, and ensure the production of multi-media communications, PR, and marketing materials and compelling stories.
• Work closely with external organisations in order to raise awareness of services available locally and increase access to provision for individuals across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

Overall Duties of the role will include:

• Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT
• Providing support to children with emotional welfare and mental health needs
• Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements
• Being able to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed)
• Organising and participating in virtual and face-to-face events and occasional residential meet-ups
• Managing all paperwork associated with events and activities
• Willingness to work flexibly, according to deadlines and needs of our families which may include some after-school, evening and weekend work
• Undertaking trauma-informed direct work with children and young people 

The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel to the Yorkshire area quarterly for face-to-face team meetings, training, and wellbeing events with the potential for occasional travel to other areas around the UK to facilitate children's residential stays.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Digital & QA team as a Digital Project Manager. This role will primarily be responsible for project managing the development of Ygam’s new website from concept to handover in addition to some of Ygam’s other planned digital projects. 

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing digital projects, from initial briefing to final implementation and review, with a thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be engaging with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. You should be accurate, organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently. While you should be capable of working independently, you should also excel in a team environment, fostering collaboration and driving towards shared goals.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Lead the process to procure external developers for the online portal and manage the relationship with the appointed developer.
• Maintain the project plan, monitoring progress and ensuring milestones are met.
• Manage relationship with appointed developer.
• Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders, enabling scoping exercises to capture all required functionality and specifications, and developing risk logs, to ensure the website meets user requirements.
