We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. Grandmentors
Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. These young people often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.
Volunteers meet with a young person regularly to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each young person.
Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project in Suffolk, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within Suffolk County Council and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties
- To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.

LifeSkills Coordinator, LifeSkills
Starting at £28,315 FTE per annum to £31,073 FTE per annum

The postholder will be expected to deliver face to face to face LifeSkills sessions within the North West, primarily but not exclusively in Greater Manchester. They will also be expected to travel occasionally to other areas of the country for meetings (eg team meetings).

About LifeSkills
The LifeSkills programme will offer groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions will offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. The aims of the LifeSkills programme are to support participants to increase their confidence and 21st century skills, move closer to training/volunteering/employment, improve their social networks, and grow their confidence to provide low cost and nutritious meals.
The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in the Greater Manchester area. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the country.

About the opportunity
Critical to our mission, we are now looking to recruit a Programme Coordinator to oversee a caseload of partner schools in London. You will work closely with the schools and pupils and manage the pool of volunteer tutors by regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.

Duties and responsibilities
· Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.

We have created a Marketing & Engagement Coordinator post to help us achieve this ambition, through managing and increasing engagement with the charity’s members and other stakeholders. This includes assisting the Marketing and Engagement Manager with the planning and execution of marketing, branding and advertising strategies to better promote the ABF to all our stakeholders across all communications channels. This role also involves administering the ABF membership, including responding to enquiries and providing a positive and responsive experience of the charity. Activities include creating and monitoring engaging content for social media platforms, as well as developing the ABF’s membership processes to increase impact. There will be the opportunity to develop and implement activities to increase the ABF’s membership.
We are looking for someone with experience of digital and traditional marketing as well as customer relationship management (CRM) tools, data analysis software, HTML and graphic design applications. Importantly, you need excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully convey the ABF’s brand, and the ability to build and maintain positive, trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.
We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.
You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences.
We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.
This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. Please note that currently the Freedom Programme is delivered remotely via Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm via Zoom.

Volunteers are vital to our charity, the provide over 100,000 hours of support a year to our work. As our charity’s volunteer programme has grown over the last few years, we need to increase our capacity to recruit and better support our volunteers.
This role is focus on improving the support with give to our volunteers who care for our dogs and pups in training. There we are not just looking for someone who is experienced working with volunteers and is great with people, but someone who has presentation or teaching skills. So they can talk to groups of volunteers to help them develop the skills and confidence to have a positive experience and impact when volunteering with our charity. Candidate who have a good knowledge of dogs would be a real advantage.
Recruitment of new volunteers is also a key part of this role and so we will require the post holder to manage activity to achieve this, including some occasional weekend and evening work at specific recruitment events.
We are looking for a Local Business Coordinator to proactively engage local businesses with our projects and develop new initiatives to make a difference in Lewisham. You will work alongside the Community Engagement & Grants Coordinator and the Local Giving Programme Manager to raise the profile of and generate more giving in the local community.
This post is ideal for somebody who has an interest and the drive to explore the local community, engaging with local businesses and encouraging them to contribute towards our projects and giving back.
