We are seeking a reliable individual (or individuals to share the role) to assist us in supporting our teams of volunteers who work across our three projects: FareShare Greater Manchester, EMERGE Recycling and Touch Wood, as well as our parent charity, EMERGE 3Rs.
With your organisational skills, you’ll assist the Volunteer Management Team in the administration of our volunteer programmes and help us with the day-to-day operation of the office.
This position presents an excellent opportunity to gain valuable transferable skills that can be deployed across a wide range of working roles in future.
This role is shared between several volunteers; each covering different shifts, so we have flexibility in accommodating what hours you are able to offer us.

We operate three initiatives:
* FareShare Great Manchester - the regional hub of national charity FareShare UK, which redistributes overstocked food to community initiatives and food banks, diverting it from polluting landfill
* Touch Wood - our reclaimed wood workshop, which takes wood destined for landfill or incinerators and prepares it for resale or upcycles it into crafted items
* EMERGE Recycling - a pioneering recycling social enterprise
The volunteer administration support role is one of the broadest ranging opportunities we have on offer; being a blend of many working practices, from general administration to assisting with recruitment. You will be working with a diverse range of individuals, from many different types of backgrounds and circumstances, so a friendly attitude and an interest in helping people are advantageous traits for applicants.
Typical tasks include:
* Answering and redirecting phone calls and greeting visitors

Bipolar UK was originally formed in the 1980s as a local support system for the community by the community. Our first meeting was held in 1983 and since that day Bipolar UK has supported people living with the condition and their loved ones. Our aim is to enable everyone affected by bipolar to live well.
Each year we support thousands of individuals through our range of peer support services, which include:

Training and development
All volunteers are given an induction and training relevant to their role before they begin volunteering so they can feel confident to carry out their tasks. Training is an ongoing commitment for both Bipolar UK staff and volunteers. Training sessions are usually held by the Bipolar UK team, although external training will be given whenever relevant and appropriate.
Who can volunteer?
As part of the volunteer recruitment process, we ask you to complete an application form. We will then invite you for an informal phone interview and ask you to provide two referees.
Roles within Bipolar UK are subject to an enhanced DBS check. The information gathered throughout this process helps us to make an informed decision about whether the volunteering role is right for you, as well as following our safeguarding procedures.

Volunteer Receptionist/Administrator
Location: Saint Michael’s Hospice – Crimple House, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate, HG2 8NA
Hours: Flexible hours – Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

An exciting opportunity to join our team of Volunteers supporting the Reception and Administration staff based at Crimple House, who are the first point of contact for anybody arriving at the Hospice.
Key responsibilities will include answering and directing telephone enquiries, greeting patients, patient visitors and staff, ensuring they are warmly welcomed at all times, as well as undertaking a variety of administration tasks using Word and Excel.
The Reception desk is manned Monday to Friday and volunteers can undertake part or full day cover. The volunteer rota is set a month in advance and volunteers will be contacted to gain their availability at least 2 weeks in advance.

As part of our strategic priorities, RollaDome All Skate is currently seeking, detail-oriented, reliable, friendly Clubs Administrator to join our growing team. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our members and visitors in a friendly yet professional manner at all times.
Front of House:
· Meet and greet members, visitors to the Clubs and attend to their requirements as needed.

What is a Serving Community Team Volunteering Coordinator?
There is a SSAFA presence throughout the serving community, both in the UK and overseas. In many areas, SSAFA have Serving Community Teams which offer financial, practical, and emotional support to serving personnel and their families. Each team is formed of a group of trained volunteers who make this possible.
A Volunteering Coordinator is a key role within the Team, supporting with local recruitment, induction, and celebration of volunteers and volunteering. They ensure volunteers are welcomed and supported. This role also has voting rights for the grant giving process.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring every volunteer has access to supervision and support, signposting to support from SSAFA Central Office teams as required.
- Celebrating and saying thank you: Seeking opportunities to celebrate volunteering, engaging in local initiatives and finding ways to say thank you to volunteers for all their efforts.
- Partnership working: building positive relationships and working together with national and regional employees, who are available to offer you support.
- Being a volunteering champion: working with the Regional Operations Support Manager to promote volunteering best practice across the Team and ensure volunteers have the best possible experience with SSAFA.

We are looking for one or more administration volunteers to provide admin support to our advisers at Biddulph Town Hall. The office is staffed on Mondays and Wednesdays with a drop-in each morning from 10.30am to 1pm and pre-booked appointments in the afternoons.

Administrative Support Volunteer
As an Administrative Support Volunteer, you will play an essential role in the team, complimenting the work of the London Hub and allowing Shelter clients to receive the support that they need. The opportunity will allow you to make a difference in your local community as well as gaining hands-on experience in one of the UK's leading housing charities.
Suggested Involvement: A suggested minimum commitment of one day per week for six months
Availability: This volunteering opportunity will take place within our working hours, Monday-Friday, 10:00-17:00

Main tasks
- General administrative tasks (photocopying, scanning, and minute taking)
- Covering reception and meeting and greeting people who are dropping into the office on an ad hoc basis
- Supporting the delivery of Lived Experience Insight activities, by assisting setting up meetings & listening events, send reminder invites and forwarding other event information.
- Conducting client feedback calls
- Updating local resource documents, such as local authority information sheets
- Inputting information on to our case management system
- Supporting the team with resources for delivery of training
Skills and experience required
- Previous administrative experience or an interest in gaining administrative skills
- An interest in social welfare e.g. housing, welfare benefits, debt.
- Ability to manage your own time and task load
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Good communication skills (this may be through experience of working with the public).
- Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office programmes.
- The ability to work as part of a team and value others
- Willingness to follow Shelter’s policies including Volunteering, Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, Confidentiality and Data Protection

Admin Support volunteer, community fundraising, Aberdeen Area
Role summary
Are you looking to use your admin skills to make a difference? You’ll provide admin support to your local Community Fundraising team to ensure that we reach more potential supporters and that all our donors, however they choose to support us, receive exceptional supporter care.
