Crisis’ mission of ending homelessness has never depended more on our digital platforms. You will be a key member of the Digital Product and Experience team helping to deliver a high-quality experience for all users of the Crisis website including Crisis members, volunteers and supporters.
Hours: 35 hours a week (we would be open to reduced or compressed hours in line with Crisis’ Flexible Working Policy)
Location: Based in London (you will be required to work from a Crisis office once a week or twice a fortnight).
About the role
As a back-end web developer, you will work with the rest of the Digital Product team, and with external agencies, to maintain and develop the Crisis website. You will be responsible for writing efficient and well-documented code and ensuring the overall quality of the codebase.
You will take part in agile planning and retrospective sessions with the rest of the team and will collaborate with front-end developers and UX-officers to fulfil new briefs, as well as deal with issues and bugs raised through our digital helpdesk.
Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be given the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and tasks on a multi-audience website.

The Role
As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy for SafeLives. Around 1,300 volunteers across the UK make unannounced visits to police custody suites to provide a crucial safeguard for the rights and welfare of those held there. The Independent Custody Visiting Association (ICVA) is a national membership organisation which leads, supports and represents these volunteer custody visiting schemes. This new role presents an opportunity to expand and develop our service, impact and offer across the UK.
ICVA has a great reputation as a rights-based organisation with an impressive reach for such a small team, and a can-do attitude is essential to ensure that we build on this reputation.
Job description
The postholder will develop our outreach, policy and fundraising work, to increase the profile and reach of ICVA and the visiting schemes it supports and represents.
Communications, policy, and development
- Lead in developing and delivering policies and strategies in line with the annual business plan.
- Research and draft clear, well-targeted and influential communications material on key issues, including on emerging significant issues within police custody, human rights and volunteering.
- Play a key role in developing and tracking policy projects in priority areas to ensure the humane and equitable treatment of those detained in police custody.
- Produce publications, social media content and web copy designed to promote ICVA and the value and impact of independent custody visiting volunteers and schemes.
- Work with the ICVA team to ensure that organisational strategic aims support members effectively.
- Compile information for quarterly Board meetings and attend and contribute to team and board meetings.
- Support, promote and implement equality, diversity, access and inclusion across all work.
- Attend appropriate conferences, networking events, workshops and other events beneficial to increasing awareness of the work of the volunteers and ICVA.
Fundraising
- Research, coordinate and write funding applications to trusts, foundations and public bodies.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the funding climate, sector and sources of available funding.
- Lead on gathering, compiling, and submitting timely and accurate monitoring, outputs and evaluation reports, working with the wider team to build this into plans.
- Consider opportunities for the organisation to build corporate partnerships.
- Develop strategies and campaigns to encourage new networks and engaging potential funders in organisational workstreams.
The role is remote but there is an occasional requirement to attend meetings across the UK.

Role Overview & Aims
We are looking for someone who will drive the BHMA into a new phase of growth. Someone with passion and dedication who will believe in our purpose and help us achieve this. We want to grow our reach and find new members, journal subscribers and people to enrol on our course. We also want to start producing professional webinars and podcasts in the run up to our conference this Autumn. We would also like to streamline the administrative running of the BHMA to make it more efficient and sustainable, whilst growing our income streams.
How we work
The BHMA operates as a remote team however the hub is in the Bath/Bristol area with our AGM & a conference to be held near Bristol in 2024. We have 2-3 evening Zoom meetings per month and our remote administrator works mornings.
You will work from home using your own computer, however occasional face-to-face meetings would be a bonus.
Roles & responsibilities
Main duties:

Liaise with the trustees and attend meetings to provide regular updates on the ‘health’ of the charity and to share your vision for strengthening marketing and operations.

About the role
Sightsavers' content and stories team has responsibility for developing creative concepts and content in response to communications briefs, as well as supporting the organisation with video and editorial services, and sourcing photography, video, audio and written stories from projects across Africa and South Asia. This work generates a huge volume of multimedia digital assets which need to be easily searchable by everyone in the organisation. We've recently moved to a new digital asset management system which requires an ongoing process of training and development.
We are looking for a Digital Asset Manager to be responsible for embedding and maintaining our new digital asset management system (Asset Bank), offering training and support to teams using and uploading assets. You'll work closely with content producers and story collectors to develop workflows preparing and uploading new content and you'll lead their implementation. As digital asset manager you'll inspire staff with available content, finding creative ways to make the organisation aware of the assets the team is producing. You'll need to make strategic decisions and plans for optimising and promoting the system and its contents, but you won't shy away from getting stuck into the day to day of preparing and uploading content.
Key duties will include:
* Ownership of digital asset storage systems with strategic decision making about process, structure and content
* Asset preparation, upload and categorisation - maintaining consistency and quality across systems

* System development and maintenance, with a focus on user experience and searchability

Overall purpose:
As Fundraising and Campaigns Marketing Manager in the Marketing & Communications team, you will drive Ben’s fundraising and commercial services with individuals and businesses within the automotive industry. Principal Accountabilities:

- Support to look after brand management of Ben’s fundraising and commercial brands (DoIt4Ben, ILC, Ben Ball, Ben Training etc.)
- Plan, create and develop high-quality content which is tailored to audience personas, which they will find engaging and meets strategic objectives
- Utilise various channels, including social media, website, email marketing and traditional media, to reach the target audience effectively
- Support to develop a programme of regular content. Maintaining and updating Ben wide calendars as appropriate
- Work with colleagues to develop new products and update existing products that are relevant for our audiences that are channel and brand appropriate
- Manage the design, production and distribution of marketing collateral (digital and print), making sure it is consistent with our messaging, tone of voice and is audience appropriate

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3000 children in 2023-24.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.

Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a West Cumbria Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able to both motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around West Cumbria. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers
• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms
• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others
• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up
• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom
• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles
• Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed
• Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise
• Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends
• Create monthly data summaries for all participating classrooms
• Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools

Job Description
· Be responsible for the execution of campaigns, content excellence, and activities to attract volunteers to Bookmark and to engage existing members of Bookmark’s community.
· Lead and oversee the strategic delivery of digital marketing campaigns to meet our goals and develop towards our growth targets.
· Work with the Head of Marketing to explore and develop marketing campaigns, using data to inform decisions.

Person Specification
Essential:

Job overview
As Delivery Lead you will be out on the ground setting best practice in delivering the Dallaglio RugbyWorks interventions in the London region. You will also play a role in the development, networking and management of projects in the region. You will become the go to person for all things London and work closely with your Programme Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running.
You will be working with some of the hardest to reach young people who are most at risk of exclusion, in small groups of 8-10. We use sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor, using our four cornerstones (developing life skills, raising aspirations, improving physical wellbeing, focus on mental wellbeing) to develop young people throughout their time with us. You will help to deliver sports based sessions combined with employability workshops to enable young people to be in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.
You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. This role requires someone with a youth work, sports coaching or teaching background combined with the ability to develop and coordinate the region and team within it.
What the job involves
Intervention Delivery
- Deliver our suite of interventions both during the school timetable and outside of the school timetable (3-7pm) within a range of settings in your region.
- Develop session plans in line with our curriculum and scheme of work, tailoring these to the needs of each cohort of young people.
- Act as the lead member of delivery staff in sessions and with the school.
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with staff within the education settings that we work in.
- Build trusted adulted relationships with young people that are meaningful and supportive.
- Adapt to changing environments and work creatively to deliver sessions to a range of young people.
- Ensure that our web based App Player Profiles becomes an integral part of the delivery of our interventions and support mechanisms for young peoples development.

Reporting & Compliance

- To follow the Dallaglio RugbyWorks processes around reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns to ensure we are protecting young people to the highest standard.
- Ensure that dynamic risk assessments are completed for all sessions and ad hoc activities.
- Provide content for our social media and coordinate the running of a regional social media account.
- Work closely with the rest of the Dallaglio RugbyWorks team to communicate successes of our interventions through case studies and termly reports.

Development
- Work with the Programme Manager to seek out customers and sell our suite of interventions in your region to meet your school charging income target.
- Responsible for the relationship management of schools and other delivery sites where you have been allocated as the lead. Ensuring contracting is completed in a timely manner, invoices are raised and check in meetings held.
- Work with the Programme manager to establish a network of regional partners that support our interventions and build our reputation.
- Support the relationship management of corporate partners and donors within your region, showing them the value of their support.
- Lead on writing and application of regional trust & foundation bids to meet your regional fundraising target.
Team
- Provide line management support to casual staff as well as manage and communicate team rotas.
- Contribute to project groups and internal meetings, ensuring you keep in good contact with the wider team.
- Participate in Dallaglio RugbyWorks team meetings and training sessions.
Who you are
- Proven experience delivering youth work, mentoring, sports based sessions or working in an educational setting.
- Level 2 sports coaching qualification or level 2 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent).

- Demonstrable passion for using sport as a tool for social development and a drive to help young people have positive and productive futures.
