About the role
Hither Green Service (Spring Gardens and Hilda House) is a busy, flagship service which provides you with the opportunity to join a specialised and committed team using a trauma-informed approach, supporting 68, multiple excluded, highly vulnerable adults with complex needs in Lewisham.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Support Worker (known internally as a Project Worker). In this vital role you will:
- Work together with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions and support them towards achieving them.
- Respond to incident and crises as a team in a way that maximises safety and wellbeing.
- Provide practical and personal support to clients in an approachable, caring and person centred way.
- Work as part of a dedicated team in an accommodation setting to provide a high quality, positive and safe service to clients.
- Keep up to date administrative records relating to client work, housing management and health and safety.
- Work on the weekly shift rota that includes early and late shifts as well as some weekends and bank holidays.
About you
To succeed in these highly rewarding role you will have;
- An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people – you may have had personal experience of homelessness yourself.
- Experience of helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
- A sound understanding of the support needs of people with low incomes, including rent payments/arrears and professional boundary issues.
- Good interpersonal and listening skills, in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an eagerness to learn and work with clients in a holistic and person-centred approach.
- The ability to support colleagues in diffusing difficult or dangerous situations and to summon outside assistance when necessary.
- The skills to challenge disruptive or unacceptable behaviour in a sympathetic and assertive way, balancing the needs of the individual with responsibilities for the safety of the service.

As part of the Getting Help team, you will provide social and practical support to adults with common mental health problems in a range of settings across Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale (HMR). This includes assessment and support planning, and community outreach. Typically, Community Engagement Workers support people who are on the waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy. The Getting Help team works in partnership with HMR Talking Therapies delivered by the Big Life Group and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The Charity
The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Adventure Programme Support Manager to support both young people and volunteers on our Adventure Programme. Working alongside the Programme Managers you will act in a support function across the activity days and camps, and be involved in direct one to one support for young people. You will also work alongside the Volunteering Lead to recruit, manage and support the volunteers who are front and centre of ensuring our young people’s positive experiences and outcomes. This is a diverse role with the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people both through direct work and supporting the wider team.
Programme Support
This aspect of the role includes;

Attending residential camps and activity days throughout the year, assisting with organising and delivering the Adventure Programme.

Volunteer Management
Volunteers are critical to the success of our programme for vulnerable young people; recruiting, supporting and developing capable, skilled, empathetic, engaging and committed volunteers is essential to the impact of our work.

Promoting volunteering opportunities and recruiting new volunteers to the organisation to ensure needs are met.

Acting as a key point of contact for volunteers, maintaining communication and engagement with the charity.

The Peer Support Service operates alongside other clinical and wellbeing services to provide formalised peer support for people living with common and complex mental health needs and complex emotional needs, including personality disorder.
The service compliments and collaborates with NHS Peer Support Workers and is delivered from community-based locations and NHS Hubs across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster to help people regain control over their lives, shaped by their own unique recovery process.
The role involves experiential sharing, connecting relationships and community building to deliver a range of peer support activities, including one to one peer support, peer support groups, training and workshops.

About the role
We are looking for Night Worker to join our excellent team in Hounslow. As the successful candidate you will have a passion for supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in the borough, supporting residents around their strengths and aspirations.
The Hounslow LIFE service is a large multi-site service that has a staff team of 32 supporting 86 clients, covering specialisms such as Homelessness, Substance Use and Mental Health.
In the role of Night Worker, you will be working with our clients on their road to recovery, aiding clients to gain the necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation. You will assist staff on site with supporting clients, completing H&S tasks, responding to and completing incident reports, and ensuring that clients within the building are safe. You will also have some housing management responsibilities as part of ensuring we deliver safe, high-quality services.
Working in our Forbes House complex needs hostel, you will be part of a team providing 24hr support to 22 clients at the start of their journey with us, supporting them towards greater independence. This role involves working night shifts between the hours of 21:30 – 08:15. This will also include some weekends and bank holidays, and the role will be service based with no home working.

Repton House is a mental health, supported housing service, working to a recovery model. We work with individuals over the age of 18, who have long and enduring mental health needs and/ or autism. This role would suit someone from a support, care, nursing or complex needs background. Our residents are at the centre of what we do, providing person-centred services, making no two days the same.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in.
Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

Support Worker - Housing and Homelessness (Sanctuary Emergency Accommodation)
Salary: £24,745 per annum
Full-time: Full-time (40 hours per week) with a 30 min paid lunch break. This includes a weekend shift. You will also be rostered to work on bank holidays.

Our client’s Emergency Accommodation offers short-term accommodation (23 bedrooms), as well as support, meals, and laundry facilities. Staff work with other services to provide a tailored package for each person while helping them towards moving into longer-term accommodation.

We're seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Young Person’s Worker. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing support to at-risk young people who are experiencing homelessness.
Your mission: to support and empower young people to develop the lifelong tools they need to lead fulfilling lives outside the confines of traditional services. You will carry a caseload of clients who you will formulate a comprehensive support and safety plan with, which forms part of the ongoing casework, promoting independence and preparing young people for moving into independent accommodation, and employment and education.
About the Role:
As the Young Person's Worker, you will be working within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. You will be the lead worker overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.
