The Finance Officer is responsible for working within the core Wheels for All team to provide finance team support to the wider programme delivery and national staff team. By working with colleagues to maintain financial systems, accurate record keeping and undertake financial administration they will provide the support required to implement and improve the processes needed to maintain the accurate financial management systems which are crucial to supporting the charity’s mission. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. You might be studying for an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA) or be qualified by experience. A training package may be available for an applicable accounting qualification. 

Salary £25,000- £28,000 FTE, dependent on experience

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns across our Regular Giving programme. This individual will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness, as it is a little-unknown condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the illness.

About

The post-holder will provide effective professional guidance, advice, signposting and sensitive support to residents who are experiencing welfare difficulties of a non-academic nature affecting their ability to learn and maintain a health daily lifestyle.

The role will support individual residents, working in partnership with other departments and colleagues to establish reasonable and effective methods of support or adjustments for residents in situations of difficulty or with challenging circumstances.

Working alongside other department managers, the Resident Welfare Officer will signpost and recommend both internal and external specialist services and treatment providers where necessary. Where appropriate, the Resident Welfare Officer will work directly with residents to limit the impact a problem could have on a residents wellbeing, undertaking individual case work. This role does not directly itself provide specialist practitioner support or clinically qualified treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, advice, support and signposting to residents, responding to and independently resolving a range of welfare queries and issues, within agreed boundaries.
• Provide a non-judgemental, effective and respected service to residents, some of whom may be experiencing challenging situations and require specific advice and support.
• Assess the complexity and risk involved in individual resident cases, referring to the COO or other department managers.
• Provide appropriate short-term support in the event of a resident reporting a serious welfare incident, violence, a hate crime and/or risk of radicalisation.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts across other professional services, as well as external bodies, support groups and professional services, to support own work, including individual resident casework and organised activities
• Monitor Chapel and classroom attendance and where necessary identify and address areas of concern. Oversee the pastoral care, delivered by Mattersey staff, and make any necessary responses to identified areas of concern.
• Promote support services to Mattersey Hall staff to raise awareness of potentially vulnerable residents and encourage and support staff in referral techniques.Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems outside own area, such as developing solutions to welfare related issues that extend across other Green Pastures partnerships.
• Ensue that accurate records, letters and documentation for individual resident are kept.onitor relevant information data and liaise with academic and professional services colleagues to proactively identify and engage those students who appear to be at risk of disengaging with and/or failing in their activities at Mattersey Hall.
• Contribute to proposed changes in procedures, plans, priorities and office systems to improve operational efficiency and quality of the Residents Welfare.
• Work with colleagues to develop, improve and manage processes that identify and support vulnerable students.

This role is part of a small Finance team that supports the work of Headway - the brain injury association. The role is line managed by the Finance Manager and liaises with every team within the organisation.

What you will do

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the purchase and sales ledgers for both the charity and retail company, supporting colleagues, and resolving queries from suppliers and customers. You will monitor the purchase invoice mailbox and online purchase invoice accounts, ensuring that all invoices are downloaded promptly and passed on to relevant colleagues for authorisation.

You will be responsible for recording all purchase and sales invoices on our accounts system, Exchequer and ensuring that all bank transactions are entered on a timely basis. You will also be responsible for preparing and entering key monthly journals, including but not limited to charity and retail income, charity merchandise sales, depreciation, credit card expenditure, pre-paid rent and service charges. The majority of this work will use our Excel linked auto-loaders, but some manual entry will also be required.

You will complete monthly supplier account reconciliations and be responsible for raising any concerns or discrepancies with the Finance Manager.

You will maintain the stock system for the online merchandise shop, updating it with new stock and prices, using the information from the system to create the monthly cost of sales journal.

The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all monthly and month-end routines are completed in line with team and organisational deadlines and complete any other finance tasks that may be required.

Purpose of Job:

The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. The goal is to continuously enhance the value and contributions from stakeholders in alignment with Queen Mary’s Grammar School’s strategic priorities.

Ultimately, this role is designed to support the school’s strategic plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni and other stakeholders. This is achieved by developing and strengthening relationships with important constituents and identifying shared areas of interest and activities to enable lifelong relationships to form.

Main responsibilities:

1. To work with the Headmaster in developing links with the alumni network through the Queen Mary’s Club (QMC) for the purpose of school promotion, school career programme development and fundraising.

2. To assist with other whole school fundraising projects

3. To oversee the financial and administrative function of school donations and the Queen Mary’s Association (QMA) as a parental fundraising body within the school.

It is expected that the role will be self-funding, as a result of the income brought into the school. This may include funds raised through alumni, grant applications and bequests from former pupils, as well as a contribution towards other fundraising projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION The duties include:

• Actively enhance engagement opportunities with former students and other stakeholders. Contribute to development of methods of engaging with alumni and strengthening their relationship with Queen Mary’s Grammar School and each other;

• Maintenance and continuity of QMC database using Raiser’s Edge; leading initiatives to grow and populate the database.

• Management of the website, including creating new content;

• Use a range of social media channels to engage alumni and other relevant stakeholders, such as Linked-in and Mail Chimp.

• Receive, record and reconcile termly donations for the School donations fund; liaison with the Mercian Trust over the transfer and use of such donations;

• Submitting Gift Aid claims to HMRC;

• Treasurer for the QMA, including production of simple accounts and financial records

• Assist with recruitment of QMA volunteers and allocation to committees;

• Oversight of the Charity Commission status of the QMA and management of the bank account;

• Attend QMA management committee and trustee meetings;

• Provision of information for the QMA trustees;

At TreeHouse School, we're looking for a SEND Officer to join our team.

You'll lead the scheduling and coordination of the statutory annual review process and be responsible for planning, organising, minuting and drafting all annual review paperwork. You'll support the effective provision of the school office administration by having regulatory knowledge to meet the needs of TreeHouse School and work closely with the reception team where required to support a variety of stakeholders.

You'll liaise closely with the school based Transdisciplinary Team staff, including class teachers, OT, SaLT, PBS specialists as well as outside agencies. You'll manage and organise pupil appointments, including informing parents/carers. You'll manage diaries/Outlook calendars, make appointments, book meetings and training rooms, whilst also being responsible for meeting minutes and note taking.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Formal administrative/reception qualification or equivalent experience
• Excellent working knowledge of SEND code of practice and Annual review process
• Experience of working within a similar SEND organisation/school/charity environment
• Experience of using own initiative to plan, organise and manage own workload

We have a very exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working on the front-line of patient support across the Gloucester region.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in the region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.

Based at home (laptop and mobile phone provided), you will be expected to travel independently across the Gloucester area and manage your own caseload with the support of your line manager and other members of our national friendly, committed team.

We’ll provide the training, you’ll bring enthusiasm and your experience of working with chronically ill patients in a social, care or health role.
