Carers Manchester is a partnership of Statutory and Voluntary Sector organisations who work together the plan, enhance and deliver advice and support services for unwaged carers in the city. Through working together, the Carers Manchester Pathway is in place, which supports carers being able to access the right advice and support at the right time in their caring journey.
Gaddum plays a key role in managing the development of the Carers Manchester Pathway, in supporting a Network of Voluntary sector organisations and ensuring that the carers voice is heard in everything that we do.
Following the recent award of a new contract to deliver these services we are looking for a Project Worker to support us in developing a Respite strategy for Manchester unpaid carers and developing and Expert by Experience Carers panel which will ensure that the carers voice is heard in everything we do. Amongst the core tasks in this role will be to:

Support the creation of project management tools for these pieces of work and maintain them.

Lead on consultation activities for the Respite strategy

Support the recruitment of carers who may wish to be involved with the Expert by Experience panel

As part of the Getting Help team, you will provide social and practical support to adults with common mental health problems in a range of settings across Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale (HMR). This includes assessment and support planning, and community outreach. Typically, Community Engagement Workers support people who are on the waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy. We are looking for a Live Well Little Hulton Development Worker who will play a central role in the development of a community-led network of trusted voices that will enable local people to access activities, services, and information in support of their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Initially, Live Well Little Hulton will use innovative and creative methods to engage with the community to establish baseline information and insights to inform the development of the network. The Assessing Social Worker will be responsible for ensuring the success of TACT's projects and change initiatives. HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER - Community Accommodation Service - Tier 2

The main requirements of the Social Worker role are:
- Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
- Experience in using electronic records systems and IT effectively, which should include experience of virtual meetings and webinars.
- Experience in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development

The Service support the young people to develop independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene. Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.
