Are you an experienced Fundraiser looking for a new challenge?
We are working in partnership with Me2 Club who are looking for a Fundraising Manager to deliver their fundraising strategy and secure income from a diverse range of sources, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
Every year Me 2 Club match passionate and committed volunteers with children and young people who have additional needs and disabilities, enabling them to attend and participate in mainstream leisure activities. Activities that others take for granted, but that can help them build confidence, self-esteem and independence and end self-isolation and exclusion.
In this newly created role, the Fundraising Manager will build positive relationships with funders and individuals, inspiring them to give their support. With line management responsibility for the Community Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in delivering community-based fundraising activities and corporate partnerships, playing a critical role in making sure that Me2Club can support more children.
You will have:
- Experience with identifying funding opportunities, particularly through Trusts and Foundations, maintaining a pipeline of funding opportunities with an innovative and creative approach to problem solving and ability to capitalise on opportunities.
- A track record of consistently achieving ambitious fundraising targets, generating income through a range of sources including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partners, and Commissioned Services.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, with the ability to create compelling cases for support and delivering impactful presentations that tell stories and lead to supportive actions being taken.
- A strategic and evidence-led approach to measure impact and influence change, with ideally strong influencing skills in a range of settings including commissioning, contracts, and advocacy.
- Nurturing and growing relationships with a range of stakeholders and able to quickly build trust and confidence including working with and building strong, positive relationships with Trustees.
With excellent organisational and prioritising skills, risk management and decision making, ideally you will have line-management and team leadership experience including volunteer management or delivering fundraising through the use of volunteers. An understanding of the needs of children and teenagers with additional needs and disabilities is desirable but not essential.

As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your role will be to support the Regional Manager so that they can manage more projects, along with supporting the Regional Manager with expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteers for the region.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
The role will require attendance at our Community Meals projects in Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Bradford, with occasional evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.
Benefits: We offer 26.5 working days (this includes 3.5 days for the Christmas close down) plus additional holiday for length of service, up to a maximum of 30 days (pro-rata for part-time). Job Purpose:To coordinate and deliver an exciting range of Short Breaks activity clubs for children and young people aged5 - 17 with additional needs and disabilities.
Hours of work:21 hours per week over 3 days - including one evening per week
Term time hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday/Sunday 09:00 – 17:00
School holidays hours: Wednesday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Location : Based from YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road,Reigate, RH2 8HA
Clubs run in Reigate, Epsom and West Sussex
Annual leave: Four weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays. Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of five weeks pro-rata after six years’ service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.

About the Charity
Momentum Children's Charity was founded 19 years ago by the Chief Executive and has grown enormously over that time. They currently have partnerships with 10 hospitals that refer families to the charity for support. They provide therapies and counselling, respite holidays, and special family experiences to support families across London, Surrey, and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. They are on a mission to help many more families, and they need brilliant and talented people to share their ambition and make it happen.
About the role
As a Community Fundraising Executive, you'll lead the development and delivery of a range of community fundraising initiatives working with schools community groups, rotary clubs, etc.
You will manage events such as Pyjama Day, Spirit of Christmas Grotto, bakes sake and so much more. You'll also attend select community events, acting as a charity ambassador.
You'll manage the charity's existing and new community supporters, providing them with appropriate advice and support with income generating activities.
You'll proactively explore and develop new areas of community fundraising, build relationships with community groups and local organisations, and ensure that relevant fundraising pages of the Momentum Children's Charity website are regularly updated.
About the candidate
Joining our team means becoming a part of a group of dedicated fundraisers who are passionate, supportive, and driven. We are looking for someone who embodies a proactive 'can-do' attitude, excels in strategic planning for pipeline development, and continually seeks out new opportunities.
You have community fundraising experience or transferable skills, and a successful history of meeting financial and non-financial targets.
You possess knowledge of donor management and customer care principles, are self-motivated and proactive, and have strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
You possess outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, exceptional time management proficiency, and proficiency in MS Office and CRM databases.
Possession of a valid UK driving license with access to a car and a reliable internet connection at home for effective remote working is essential.
