Within our Business Development Team there are two vacancies for Projects & Partnerships Officers. These roles will each look after specific projects under our management. Some projects managed by the Community Foundation include the Best Kept Village & Community Competition, Trust Transfer projects, and frontline projects supporting rough sleeping, digital exclusion and care leavers, amongst others. As well as general administrative tasks, you will help to arrange events which support and promote our projects, create resources and manage relationships with our supporters and donors. You will be responsible for the direct delivery of some of our projects, and help to steer future projects and partnership work. We are especially keen to hear from people with a proven track record in project management, project delivery or from under-represented communities.

ELMS consists of 4 supported houses, a small floating support service and a day programme for adults experiencing severe, enduring mental health problems. The service is commissioned to provide longer term placements, with varying lengths of stay. This role involves travelling between the houses and working some weekends.
About the role:
Project workers will work with clients at their own pace to develop their independent living skills as much as possible, manage their prescribed treatment, develop their living skills, develop & manage relationships and build social networks. Where possible you will assist them to access education, training or employment, by completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments with clients and identifying short-term objectives.
As a Project Worker you will take part in all aspects of the day to day running of the schemes, working as part of a shift from Monday to Sunday. You will be required to work with clients effectively; providing support via structured key working. You will also carry out assessments including risk assessments and goal setting via SHP support planning. All Support plans will aim to promote SHP’s values and practices.
You will be responsible for implementing holistic support strategies to address the emotional, practical and housing management needs of residents of the project. This includes assisting residents with maintaining their mental health, practical daily tasks and maintaining a safe, clean, living environment.
The role will form a pivotal position within the schemes as Project workers are the point of contact for daily events. This might include structured group work, you will also support the project leads with activities and support case-holders to carry out allocated tasks.

- A working knowledge of severe and enduring mental ill-health, and the interventions and effective approaches to supporting individuals experiencing such conditions.

The Ageing Well Functional Fitness MOT project is aimed at supporting mild to moderately frail residents of the Frognal area of Bexley with falls prevention, improvement of functional wellness and to provide signposting for sessions to enhance functional fitness within this defined area. The Project Officer (Strategic Data and Measurement Analyst) is an important new role at the Diocese, as you will provide a comprehensive understanding of our data sets to afford context and insight to the Deaneries, parishes and the Diocese which will help develop projects and programmes to drive growth in church attendance.
This role would suit someone who is an excellent and inquisitive administrative professional looking to expand into the field of data analysis.
As Project Officer, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all types of datasets available within the Diocese, including demographic data, attendance records, retention statistics and financial records, whilst identifying and implementing appropriate tools and methodologies for collecting and analysing new data insights.
An integral member of the Strategy Team and reporting to the Strategic Programme Manager, you will lead data analysis work for projects as needed, providing statistical expertise and composing narrative insights for project reports to inform decision making, support funding cases and investment requests.
Acting as a point of contact between the project office and other stakeholders, you will provide coordination and support as needed to ensure the smooth implementation of projects. You will also assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and documenting minutes, ensuring timely progress and effective communication within the team and with external partners.
In addition, you will represent the Strategic Programme Manager at project reviews, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes as needed.
Educated to degree level in a related subject or with equivalent experience, you should have familiarity with a variety of ways of presenting complex data clearly and be able to manage and organise a range of datasets from multiple sources to enable analysis, presentation and the identification of synergies.
Your enquiring mind and careful approach to manipulating and mining data to create insights and information, along with your ability to interpret data through an understanding of the project’s context, will ensure you are able to frame the questions that matter.
A high degree of IT literacy including use of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools and a working knowledge of databases, along with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and a creative ability to deliver insights in clear and accessible written, verbal and visual media formats are essential.

The Role:
As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will lead the delivery and development of our highly successful “Grandmentors” programme in Perth and Kinross.
Grandmentors is an innovative, inter-generational mentoring project where older volunteers (normally but not exclusively aged 50+) use their wealth of life experience and skills to mentor young people aged 16-26 who are care experienced, or facing other life challenges
These young people often benefit from a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education, begin training, enhance their wellbeing, or develop their independent living skills - ultimately giving young people the empowerment and self-belief to lead successful lives.
Grandmentors is a national project which has operated for almost 15 years in various locations of the UK. We launched in Perth and Kinross in 2022. Further information on Grandmentors can be found online.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Consistently role model and display our organisational values (Being Positive, Inclusive, Empowering, Compassionate, Straightforward)
· Contribute to effective teamwork across the staff team and the wider charity, in line with our “flexible working by default” and “self-managed teams” philosophy
· Develop and deliver the Grandmentors programme in Perth and Kinross, meeting ambitious goals and milestones, ensuring all young people engaged achieve positive outcomes
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, volunteer mentors, young people, Social Services, Health and Education teams, third sector partners and others
· Effective recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing support of a diverse pool of talented and dedicated volunteer mentors from a wide cross-section of the community
· To maintain Volunteering Matters standards around quality and effective Volunteer Management
· To manage all elements of young people’s experience of Grandmentors, from point of referral to completion of their mentoring journey
· To manage the risk assessment, safeguarding, quality assurance and audit processes as appropriate
· Ensure monitoring, impact and evaluation information and data is collected and that Grandmentors meets it’s agreed goals, reporting format and schedule.
· Administration tasks including maintaining effective and accessible records via a Volunteering Database, the use of Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Canva and other relevant software
· Develop relevant promotional material and information, for Grandmentors, and for our organisation locally
Skills Required:
· An excellent knowledge and understanding of the life challenges and barriers that care experienced young people face today in Scotland, including an understanding of “The Promise”
· An understanding of how to assess the needs of an individual, using a person-centered approach
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including being able to have strategic conversations with external partners one minute, and talk to an anxious or unsure young person the next
· Excellent people skills with the ability to build professional, long-term relationships with various stakeholders, to influence and motivate others
· Excellent organisational skills including strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise accordingly
· Excellent IT skills including the use of Office 365, Microsoft Teams and other software packages
· A creative approach to problem solving, an ability to work independently and use own initiative
Experience Required
· Experience working directly with young people (aged 16-26), particularly those who are care experienced or who face other life challenges and barriers
· Experience in all aspects of effective Volunteer Management (recruitment, training, support)
· Experience developing strong working relationships, with a range of internal and external stakeholders
· Experience of project management, achieving goals, managing a busy workload and working to deadlines
· Experience of measuring the impact of mentoring/volunteering, and understanding the results
· Understanding of, and full commitment, to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
