We’re looking for a skilled, experienced and organised graphic designer who can contribute to the organisations goals by bringing their accuracy, attention to detail and creative flair to all of their work.

This is an exciting and challenging role, which will involve working collaboratively with different teams across the organisation on a wide range of projects.

Context of the role.

The successful candidate will be guided by the Communications & Fundraising Officer to communicate the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and demonstrate the impact of Upbeat Communities to our supporters and followers, as well as to new audiences. They will have a positive attitude and love communicating what we do as a charity.

The role can mostly be done remotely; however, it will be required for the candidate to travel to our base in Derby a minimum of 1 day a week to stay connected to the team, and for team meetings and training as and when they occur.

Upbeat Communities was founded in response to the needs of refugees arriving in the UK and the stories they shared of their lives and their journeys. Through building relationships with those from refugee communities we were able to identify their needs and the best ways to respond.

One of the best resources a refugee can have to help them settle in their new home is a good social network. Relationships and connectedness can help overcome the many challenges faced by those seeking refuge. With this aim, we want to help connect refugees into community.

We greet new arrivals with our Welcome Boxes befriending project. We offer free English classes and community activities to help refugees (adults and children) integrate. Main duties and responsibilities:

Content creation

•  Creating written and visual content for social media and our website.
• Finding useful resources, articles, and news to be shared on our website, blog and social media.

Social media and website

•  Day-to-day management of Upbeat’s social media accounts including creating and scheduling content, replying to messages, and interacting with followers.
•  Updating the website with relevant images, statistics, and news.

Supporter stewardship

• Following Upbeat’s donations process, ensure donors are thanked in an appropriate and timely manner, and that all communications are logged on to our database (Donorfy).
• Researching local fundraising or awareness-raising opportunities and events.

Other

• Working with Upbeat’s Communications & Fundraising Officer on larger-scale fundraising campaigns throughout the year, as well as the communication of these campaigns.
• Making an active contribution to the overall work of Upbeat Communities through team meetings, staff training, awareness and fundraising events, and any other appropriate activities.

Purpose of the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.

Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.

In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.

Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
• Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.

• Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.

• Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms

• Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
• Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.

Design & Brand

• Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
• Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
• Ensure ArtsEd embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion through all digital marketing touchpoints.
• Develop and manage image library including liaising with relevant staff to select images, co-ordinating in-house photography and film requirements, up-dating plasma screen and fulfilling external requests for images.

Graphic Design

• Create print and digital advertising material using Canva or similar software.

• Support the print production process, liaising with printers and publications, proof reading and adapting print collateral as required.

Recruitment

• Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
• Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
• Managing an associated  programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
• Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
• To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
• Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.

Social Media

• Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy
• Create engaging and content drive social media assets.
• Oversee and a schedule the delivery of day-to-day social media content
• Work with the marketing officer to Launch as short form video content strategy for all platforms with aligns with the Marketing and organisations strategy.

• Manage through line managed staff all aspects of the ArtsEd website, ensuring that it remains relevant to all users at all times. This will include:-
• Ensuring factual content is kept up-to-date, imagery and video is regularly refreshed and that the overall site reflects ArtsEd’s unique offer.
• Identifying opportunities to create and update brand focused content

Market Analysis/Planning

• Review and analysis of data to identify competitor tactics, market trends, new opportunities and challenges.
• Ability to understand different audiences and relevant content to ensure successful conversion rates and enhance the student and stakeholders experience.
• Explore  new methods for collection of data and how this can be used to improve recruitment processes
• Complete quarterly digital impact reports
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Implement regular surveys of students and staff, collecting quantitative and qualitative material to support marketing and communication campaigns.

They need tailored psychosocial support and they need to know that their voices and unique needs are being heard and understood.

About the role

This new role within the newly formed Brand and Marketing Communications team will play a key role in our in-house creative studio, creating engaging and inspiring content. The successful candidate will develop creative concepts and bring them to life through innovative and inclusive design across multiple channels.

You will join our growing Brand and Marketing Communications team and work collaboratively with our in-house brand and digital teams as well as the wider organisation.

Most importantly you’ll champion our work and raise the voices of children, young people and their families living with cancer to ensure they get the support they need.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.

Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.

These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.

Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.

The Role

Undertake duties to ensure information regarding FareShare Midlands employability programmes is promoted and shared via a range of business and social media platforms. ‘As part of our mission, FareShare Midlands is delighted to be able to deliver our I-Can employability programme as part of Birmingham City Council’s PURE project. The PURE Project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme will provide a range of wellbeing, training and employment support to economically inactive and vulnerable residents of Birmingham in order to improve their lives and move them closer to the jobs market.’

The Digital Fundraising Manager for WWF International will work to deliver effective digital strategies and techniques across selected markets, with the ultimate aim of maximising short and long term income (primarily unrestricted). Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

Ensure that the quality of our L&D services and material is maintained, improved and expanded: 

• Contribute to guiding, standardising and quality assuring the conversion of learning/training material, content and courses or course modules to e-learning 
• Contribute to updating, maintaining and expanding RedR UK L&D and training material and resources, store & categorise them, and make them accessible
• Contribute to the update and maintenance of RedR UK’s e-learning and open-source learning platforms

• Contribute to the development or updating of RedR UK’s L&D and eLearning strategies 

Support the delivery of RedR UK's demand-led services to a consistently high standard:

• Coordinate the work, performance, and planning of Associate Trainers when working under the L&D Unit. Quality-assure their work when working under Programmes Hubs 

Ensure that RedR UK services meet the needs of the sector and work to expand our reach: 

• Keep up to date with developments in learning with a focus on eLearning technologies and platforms, as well as other training methodologies and issues in the humanitarian sector and advise RedR UK programme teams accordingly 
• Contribute to identifying and exploring possibilities for expanding the range of services offered by the organisation and source funding for their implementation 
• Support business development efforts and proposal preparation by ensuring that the L&D component of the methodology is appropriate, services offered are in line with requirements, likely to achieve high impact and adding overall value to the programme 
• Represent RedR UK at selected external events and forums, as appropriate 
• Be the Key Account Manager (KAM) for selected Key Accounts (clients and partners) in line with RedR UK’s KAM System
