You will lead on the DEC’s social media presence and expertise to deliver impactful content on all our channels and explore new opportunities to reach our audiences.

Ideally, you will have worked in an NGO, can demonstrate successes in a similar role, have proven experience advising senior leaders and have exceptional “people” skills.

Would you be good at conducting assessments and supporting residentials care units to improve the care that they provide?

Developed in 2011 the Approved Provider Scheme is a voluntary standards-based accreditation for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury.

The scheme enables Approved Provider units to affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our collaborative and supportive accreditation process guides units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The Approved Provider Associate Manager will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with their Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units, assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.
• Writing and reviewing reports for Approved Provider units, following assessments, that clearly highlight strengths and areas for development.
• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units. 
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

ABOUT YOU

• Prior experience of working in the field of acquired brain injury.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, nursing, social work).

• Ability to gain the trust, confidence, and respect at all levels within external organisations and staff groups.

BACKGROUND

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
• Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
• Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
• Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
• Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

SCHOOLS BASED ACROSS BURNLEY & SALFORD

We require a Social Worker to provide high quality social work in our schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

You will work directly with children and young people, their parents, carers and schools in order to further the child’s welfare and provide the interventions necessary to enable them to use their learning opportunities to the full. You must be able to provide a non-judgemental, caring and confidential environment throughout this work to ensure the issues are addressed in an appropriate manner for all those involved.

To apply you will have experience of working with children and families and experience of direct work with children which includes supporting school staff with safeguarding. You must have competent IT skills which includes providing regular reports to the individual schools and Caritas and feedback to school staff as required. Whilst being homebased, the Senior Supervising Social Worker will visit and support foster families across the TACT South West area including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire areas but will also travel within the wider region for team meetings, training and other in person events. 

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:

• An appropriate social work qualification
• Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
• Experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
• Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
• Knowledge of matching criteria and stability of placments.
• Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and confident individual to join our Social Prescribing team working with adults and children, specialising in mental health, and helping patients to access support that will help them lead more independent, resilient and healthier lives.

Working alongside GP practices, Social Prescribing Link Coordinators help child and adult mental health patients and families connect with health and community services which will make a real difference to their emotional and physical wellbeing.

You will deliver personalised support to patients, independently managing new referrals from health professional and a caseload. It’s essential that you have an understanding of how to prioritise need, and are able to recognise when to refer on to specialist services, and must be confident to communicate at all levels across health and social care sectors.  

The position is available in Gillingham and applicants must have experience of working with adults or children, a background in medical or social care, and experience of delivering mental health support to clients or groups.

You will need to demonstrate a robust knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding and boundaries in all aspects of your work. Car driver essential.

The main area of recruitment is for our Enter and View activity and be the lead for Social Care Outreach. You will need to be able to work flexibly from both the home base and the office, with the need to travel extensively throughout Warrington.

The individual will also support volunteers to ensure they have everything they need to conduct tasks effectively and safely, and feel fully informed about our work, mission, and values as a Community Interest Company.

You will need to be flexible, and adaptive and motivated to look at ways we can diversify our volunteering opportunities and help individuals take action to empower local people and get their voices heard about health and social care. You will also be working with external organisations and partners, so you will need excellent communication and time management skills.
